Axl visit Cancer patients in London after tour

I agree but I still think this reporter was trying to be obnoxious. Maybe some of the kids weren't familiar with GNR. We have had members of professional sports teams visit our hospital and I don't recognize all of them as I am not that into sports.

hey-just want to catch up and say a big THANK YOU to all the well wishes sent my way. I was actually away for the weekend with friends of my sister, raising a few and chilling out.

In following back, Axl did this to lend support, fully realizing his star-status would carry the story. Bless him for this. If Rolling Stone wants to get creative about it, let them. No reason to get pissed at that. I mean, when was the last time Jann Wenner or Wenner Publishing did anything that made news, philanthropic or otherwise? The only news that Jann Wenner makes is Page Six with whatever boy toy he has this summer.

And to all of you: Isn't it great to go on this long winding trip called GNR? Life is too good to mess around, and goodness knows living our lives with this band, and Axl these days, has been challenging. But from an escapist point of view, I'll take it, in heaping amounts.

Okay, enought babling. But, again, my most appreciative thank yous to all the well-wishes.

By the way, I also have some serious problems, not cancer though but health problems anyway, and the only time I feel really happy is when I paly GN'R on the guitar, I listen to GN'R and when I saw Axl did that stuff on the news section.

Surprise visit to the Teenage Cancer Trust
Guns n' Roses singer Axl Rose has made a surprise visit to the Teenage Cancer Trust Ward at the University College Hospital in London.

The singer had just completed Guns N' Roses' controversial European tour, culminating with a final date at Wembley Arena a week last Sunday (July 30).

Simon Davies the CEO of the Teenage Cancer Trust Ward said: "We were so touched that Axl wanted to visit the Teenage Cancer Trust ward in London.

"Axl spent time speaking with each of the patients individually asking about their diagnosis and treatment, and what they enjoyed doing when they were not in hospital. Speaking with patients after Axl's visit, I got a real sense of just how excited they were to have met him and how much it lifted their spirits."

The Teenage Cancer Trustis known for its strong links with rock music. Each year The Who singer Roger Daltrey produces a week of shows at the Royal Albert Hall, which this year featured Bloc Party and Razorlight.
