Read in the Daily Star that he spent a long time at the hospital, handing out nintendo consoles to kids on the cancer wards.
Good on you axl!, there arn't many rock stars to take the time out to do this sort of thing.

This sounds beautiful but i have to say a press release for such a move is /was not needed. It destroys the actual result of it, i really critisize footballers or other artists who are ok with press releases being made for their "surprise visits".

There is no press release for this that I've seen, just some in the press have picked it up a few days later, probably from a bulletin from UCH itself; hospitals often send out these kind of things to supporters as part of their own PR.

That made my day.  It's awesome to see him with those kids.  Those kids are pretty fucking young and to have cancer at that age (or any age for that matter) is really, really hard.  They all look happy though and that's all that really matters.  I've lost so many family members and good friends to cancer, young and old, so this really makes me respect Axl even more.  Axl, you are the fuckin' man...

cool for the kids there.

now i wonder if Axl had a cancer himself, when he was "reclusive"
and some people like Moby said he always wear a hat etc.

If he wants good press, this is the type of stuff Axl needs to be doing, not clubbin' and getting in fights with old men at bars.
