Rolling Stones "Sway" / GN'R connection

As you might have heard/read GN'R covered Sway by the Rolling Stones at the July 29th show in London, UK.

The song appears on the Sticky Fingers album which was released in 1971.

But did you know the guy who is credited for the strings is one Paul Buckmaster?

Here's the rumored GN'R connection:

Acclaimed orchestral arranger and Grammy-award winner Paul Buckmaster has apparently worked on arrangements for four songs that are slated to appear on the long-awaited GUNS N' ROSES album, "Chinese Democracy". According to Buckmaster's official discography/list of credits, which can be viewed at this location, he has served as the arranger and conductor on the tracks "Blues", "Twat", "Madagascar" and "Prostitute", all of which are expected to surface on the much-anticipated CD, due next year via Interscope.

Amusingly, he was also the conductor and arranger in The Darkness' sophomore album One Way Ticket to Hell and Back, which was produced by Roy Thomas Baker, who worked on CD in '00-'02.

Axl's probably been going back and forth his undoubtedly huge record shelf, picking up stuff he'd like and contacted the production people to add some of that into his own material. Looking at their credits, the people involved in the production so far are pretty much an all-star group!

Well, better if "One Way Ticket to Hell" had never surfaced, in my opinion.   Very cool to hear more confirmation that CD has not only been worked on, but is progressing closer to a release date as well...
