This would be a huge opportunity for Axl to reach out to the old fans who probably don't care anymore.  This post may have convinced me to buy tickets on Saturday for the Soldier Field Stones Show.  70,000 people strong watching the Axl Rose comeback would be fucking cool as hell.  It is the kind of audience Axl can't generate on his own anywhere in the U.S.  I've been on here saying how much he needs to tour with Kid Rock to draw big crowds and to tap into his audience... well, this would be 10x better for the band.  Anyone else agree?

I would hate to compete with Stones fans for good seats.

Also, RS tickets are crazy expensive.

I hope Axl does his own tour.

That would be pretty sweet. ?You think Axl could actually take the stage by 7, 8 o'clock though? ?After all, "the show usually starts around 7, we go on stage around 9."

I rad that tix for these shows will be considerably cheaper than the past ones, and also well as far as in the NY area they plan on playing Giant Stadium oct 28th I believem,, but they may do as many as 3 shows there based on tix sales. Would be awesome if GNR tag on to a few of these shows , like the NY area and cali! Tix for the Giant stadium show go onsale monday. An din the press release they mention they would have band s younger than them.lol So who knows.

No disrespect to the Stones, but GNR can headline themselves.  They are on the verge of perhaps releasing the most anticipated rock album in the history of Rock N Roll!

I wouldn't expect them to do a whole tour opening for the Stones, but maybe a couple dates in the major cities would be a good idea.

No offense to old time rockers but have you actually seen what the Stones sound like live these days, the last I saw them was when they played at the Superbowl and they looked like walking skeletons and didn't sound much better IMO.  And they charge 400 and up per ticket which is highway robbery.  I have much respect for classic rock so please don't get me wrong here....

I hope this doesn't happen, I wanna see GNR doing their own thing and playing a full show, not tagging onto this tour.

The ticket costs scare me too; plus it would not be easy getting good seats.

they could do a couple shows maybe in CA i'm guessing because they were supposed to already open for 2 stones shows in europe. if that weren't the case then i'd probably rule it out...

Chances of GN'R opening for The Stones 0%.

I had tickets to the GN'R/Stones gig in Germany, which was cancelled supposedly due to Keith's injury. My theory on this is that The Stones heard about GN'R performances in New York and Europe and cancelled the 2 scheduled gigs for fear that GN'R would blow them out of the water. Which after seeing GN'R live I think they would have.? yes

Which headliner wants to be out performed by an opening/support act?

Funny how The Stones managed to kick off their European tour in Milan and Keith played the day after they were due to play with GN'R.?

But then I'm probably just bitter and twisted coz I lost money and never got to see them perform at the same show? Grin
