It was great, you know trying to fill in Cornell's shoes is not easy, but he did a good job. As far as Eddie, he simply sounded amazing.
At the beginning of the song he said they were gonna cover a song which they hadn't played in a while. Then he apoligised cause the song was not gonna sound as it was originally written. At that time I thought they were gonna play Last Kiss, but when Eddie called the singer of Wolfmother i knew it couldn't possible be Last Kiss.
Another highlight for me was when they played "In My Tree". I hadn't heard that song in so long...

Barcelona was the second date in which they've done Hunger Strike since 2003. Belgium was the first.
On a side note, In Barcelona the Wolfmother singer sounded a bit more in tune.

This band still sells out places and puts on one of the best live shows I've ever seen. Hell, I could consider them at least one of the top 5 or 10 live acts, period.

Only two weeks away until I see them play in Sydney!
I can't wait, the last time I went to see them was in 1995.

I heard a version of Bruce Springsteens' One Step Up performed under that name. I'm not sure when it was performed though. It sounded like it was just from one of Eddies solo acoustic shows. I have a website saved on my computer at work that has a bunch of rare PJ downloads. I'll try to remember to look it up and post it.

Pearl Jam are an example of a band that truly appreciate their fans.....
They would not be where they are today without us, They know this and we know it,
Thats why they always do a great show.
I just wish some other rockstars would treat their fans better.
We put them where they are by giving a fuck.

Pearl Jam to play private club show in Chicago
07/24/2007 5:01 PM, Reuters
Jonathan Cohen
Pearl Jam will play a private show for fan club members in Chicago on August 2, three days before its headlining stint at the city's Lollapalooza festival, the rock group said on Tuesday.
Tickets for the show at the Vic Theatre will go on sale on Thursday, priced at $150 per pair (plus applicable fees). The Vic's capacity is about 1,400 people, according to the venue's web site.
Lollapalooza is Pearl Jam's only U.S. appearance planned for 2007. Apart from a three-week European tour last month, the group has been laying low this year. The Seattle quintet spent much of 2006 on the road in support of a new self-titled album, its first studio release in almost four years.

Did AT&T censor Pearl Jam's anti-Bush comments?
What's Eddie Vedder so upset about?
Chronicle
What's Eddie Vedder so upset about?
If you listen to Pearl Jam, the band thinks they got a dose of censorship from AT&T after some of Eddie Vedder's remarks against President Bush were silenced during a recent performance that appeared on AT&T's online service called Blue Room.
Vedder's comments -- which were included during a song that morphed into a cover of Pink Floyd's "Another brick in the Wall," -- called for Bush to, "Leave this world alone," and "Find yourself another home." For viewers at home watching the Lollapalooza music festival, the remarks were edited out.
Pearl Jam believes it was malicious, an example of the dangers of media consolidation. AT&T insists it was a "major mistake" by one of its contractors, who typically edit out profanities and nudity for audiences at home. The band doesn't seem to be buying it.
"AT&T's actions strike at the heart of the public's concerns over the power that corporations have when it comes to determining what the public sees and hears through communications media," Pearl Jam wrote on its Web site.
AT&T said the editing was not intentional and not consistent with the company's take on free speech. The company is working on broadcasting the song in its entirety.
"We have policies in place with respect to editing excessive profanity but AT&T does not edit or censor performances," the company said in a statement.
The issue, say Internet watchers, is whether a huge company like AT&T can be a reliable guardian for content on the Web. The Pearl Jam incident, said some AT&T critics, is a sign that the Internet is in danger of censorship and desperately needs net neutrality, an idea AT&T has resisted.
"For us the Internet isn't about one company delivering our world," said SavetheInternet.com on its blog. "It's about simply offering a high-speed connection at reasonable rates -- and then getting out of our way."
So what do you think? Honest mistake or a sign of something more sinister?

Sounds a little too fishy to be an honest mistake, but you never know , I guess.
Or maybe they warned Vedder to stick to just music for once, which is basically an impossibility for him these days, it seems -

Seems very fishy too me. I doubt they told him that. He's got just as much a right to say what he wants as everyone else does.
