They were great on Letterman last night, they played I Am Mine.  I guess I'll have to tape tonight's appearance cause I will probably be getting trashed at that point.

Veteran Seattle rock act Pearl Jam sold 166,000 units of its latest Epic album, "Riot Act," to roll onto The Billboard 200 at No. 5. Although hyped by a number of interviews, as well as two appearances last week on "The Late Show With David Letterman," the album sold less in its first week than the band's last, "Binaural," did in June 2000. That set shot to No. 2 on sales of 226,000 copies, and has since sold more than 700,000.

What's the best Pearl Jam bootleg to get from the last tour?  I have one of the Poland shows.  I am guessing that the last show in Seattle would be good because it is 3 discs long.  Any ideas?

Ok so nows the time for Arron to own up and take his punishment.

It will probably end up in a whipping by the CAT(not a bad thing)

And a right hook fron Jarmo. Cry

I Arrod David Hogg, do not own a Pearl Jam Album. Embarrassed

And i was just wondering to myself, what would be the best starting point to a mere novice like myself?

I like songs "Alive","Jeremy","I am Mine".

No whippings this morning....at least not yet.  I'd go for one of their bootleg cd's.  I have the Jones Beach, NY one and it has most every song you'd want, except off their new cd.

eBay has 2 copies up right now - http://cgi.aol.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1572&item=935039118

Can you join bmgmusic.com in England?  There you can get 12 cd's for the price of 1 introductory offer.  I got mine through there with they had a buy one cd and get the rest for $1.99 sale.

I could do and would do, if they accept switch as a valid payment, i dont have a credit card and its very difficult otherwise.

So they actually have the bootleg there, coolness.

Ok just found out its for American based personel anyway.

AH, Cat's not talking about a regular bootlegs here. PJ released 72 "official bootlegs" of the last tour in 2000 and I think you can find these in regular shops.

If you're gonna buy one of them I'd suggest number 72, the last show on the tour. It's a show in Seattle and the album is the only 3 disc set of the tour.

If you wanna start with a studio album, you can't go wrong with "Ten".

Usually people list the date and place.

Check out that site for a list of them all.

Of the bootlegs, I have Katowice, Poland and the last show in Seattle.  Both of them are excellent.  I don't think you could go wrong with any of the 72 shows though.
