PEARL JAMMING: The buzz on Pearl Jam?s critically acclaimed new Backspacer album, which will be available Sunday (9/20) at Target, iTunes and indie retail, is starting to spread across all media. Doing it on their own, away from the major label system, the band?s first single, ?The Fixer,? has achieved Top 5 at Alternative, Triple A and Mainstream Rock. In addition, the Target commercial blitz will start hitting this weekend, leading many to predict a strong first-week sales debut. Awesome album....

Thanks to the fan club, I got it early. Smiley


The last ten months have been great. Two of my favorite bands releasing awesome music. Plus some new stuff with a bunch of other artists I like....  Cool

It's short and sweet!

I've managed to listen to it like five times already.

As usual with a PJ album, there's some great lyrics and nice melodies in there.

I don't like comparing it to other albums they've put out. But if you liked the other albums, you'll like this.

It's a pretty straight forward PJ album. Just Breathe could've been on Eddie's "Into The Wild" soundtrack, it's kinda similar.

Damnit I let my Ten Club membership expire and I lost my number.....Had been in there since 03.  Just been a busy summer, didn't even know about the album until recently.  Well can't wait to hear it and hopefully see them on tour again even though this year I'll be nosebleed!

You might still be under the grace period - I think it's 90 days from the date of expiration. I have to renew my own membership next week, actually.

Pearl Jam To Release Extra Tracks From Backspacer Sessions

Guitarist Mike McCready explains why the new album has only 11 songs.

"We still have other songs that are out there that are from this session that we may do something with in about six months," McCready said.

I read an interview with Stone a few weeks ago. He said "The End" is one of the best (if not the best) tracks Eddie has ever written.
