Apparenly others agree. It sold around 60,000 copies here in the US and would have been in the Top 10 had they not counted those as catalog sales. It shows people will still pay for music if they feel like they're getting a quality product.

Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder Announces Solo Tour

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder will tour selected Eastern and Southern U.S. cities in June, the band announced on its website today (April Cool. Vedder's new 14-date solo trek starts June 8 in Albany, N.Y. and hits intimate venues in Baltimore, Philadelphia, Nashville, Memphis and Atlanta before wrapping up with a trio of Hawaii dates June 29 - July 2.

Liam Finn, who was also the opening act on Vedder's inaugural solo tour last year in support of the "Into The Wild" soundtrack, will open for Vedder on the entire run of new dates.

A presale for current Pearl Jam fanclub members runs through April 10 at 5pm Pacific at PearlJam.com.

The Pearl Jam frontman recently performed alongside Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr at the David Lynch Foundation benefit "Change Begins Within" at New York's Radio City Music Hall on April 4. Vedder is also on the bill for folk icon Pete Seeger's 90th Birthday Concert at New York's Madison Square Garden on May 3.

Another solo tour? Shouldn't he be finishing the new PJ album up? From what I've heard he hasn't been there a lot for it's production, and it's kind of strange that he's running off for another solo tour.

Pearl Jam is bringing their music back to Europe and we have all the info you need to get Ten Club tickets. Starting August 13 in Rotterdam and ending August 18 in London, Pearl Jam will grace the stage in the following cities:

We've got another Pearl Jam surprise for you ... Toronto and Chicago!! The band will wrap up their European run with two more shows on the North American continent:

Aug 21 - Toronto, ONT - Molson Amphitheater
Aug 23 - Chicago, IL - United Center

Ten Club has tickets for both shows and a pre-sale will begin on May 4th. You must be an active member as of May 3, 2009 to qualify for the ticket pre-sale. Starting May 6th, any remaining tickets will become available to ALL active members regardless of membership sign up date. The ticket pre-sale will end on May 6th at 3pm Pacific Time.

Pre-sale tickets will be sold online only at https://www.pearljam.com/max with a Visa or Mastercard. No phone orders. Eligible Ten Club members are allowed to purchase two (2) tickets per show. Ten Club tickets are available while supplies last. For wheelchair accessible seating, please purchase your tickets online then contact tickets@tenclub.net.

Ten Club tickets are for reserved seating and will be allocated by seniority. Seat locations will be reserved from the 1st row on the floor, extending back, and the side sections closest to the stage. The longer you have been in the fan club, the closer your seats will be to the stage. Newer members should not expect prime seat locations. Proximity to the stage is contingent on the amount of members in attendance. Seat location is NOT revealed prior to the performance.

Please read the following details before making a ticket purchase:

- Tickets are not mailed in advance. Tickets are distributed at the venue on the day of the show.
