EWW VHS = NOT HIGH DEF OR WIDESCREEN..............EWW FLAT TV.   Ha nah man, I have one hooked up but I only use it in super rare cases.

I need VHS for old WWF videos and whatnot.

I moved a vcr up to my room to check out some old vids about six months or so back. It didn't work with my tv, picky piece of shit. It's still sitting there. I'm looking at it right now. It's just got a load of dvd's on it now. Oh the irony. I've converted must stuff worth watching to dvd now anyway though. The only biggies I'm missing out on is Red Dwarf 1-3. That's kind of annoying. I, too, have a fan in my bedroom. It's weird, I'm not usually one for the noise of the hum, you know, that humming noise. This is also the first time that I've had a fan in my bedroom. But this time, it's different. I don't mind the hum! I don't even need to play a CD over it in order to get to sleep. When I leave my laptop on through the night, if I'm illegaly downloading some television show or something, the hum of the fan drives me insane. But my actual fan? I've grown kind of fond of the hum! I may even keep it on during the winter. I've always been one for the cold. I eat a lot of ice. Give me winter any day. I guess not any day. I do enjoy the summer. But winter smells better. And I don't like the sweat, either. On me and especially on other people. Fortunately I don't sweat too much, but fuck me, when I do I hate it. I have no problem with video. I always imagine it as being really bad quality, like dreadful quality, like when you tape the wrestling on a five year old tape from the pound shop. That's the kind of quality I envision when I think of video. But no!, video is not so bad, that is to say so primative, as people are lead to believe. No, no, no.

The last time I owned a VCR was in 2003. I sold it when I moved to the States and only bought DVD players since then. I don't know what the hell I would do with a VCR. I bought DVDs of all my fav movies and concerts I had on VHS, and you can record programs digitally now.

I don't have either a DVD or VHS player right now.  I need both though-- DVD for the whole 3 movies I ever watch, and VHS for my 120+ hours of hockey fights on tape.

Or I could just buy a VHS-to-DVD burner.

I've grown kind of fond of the hum! I may even keep it on during the winter.

Same here, I bought a fan last summer and it's been on ever since, I only take it off if I leave somewhere for a longer period of time but most of the time it's on 24/7

It's actually hard to get sleep with out the hum noice, it's too quiet with out it.

I wish I still had a VCR.... I could then watch my making of the f&^%$? videos and my old porn collection  drool

There are boutiques that can transfer those materials to DVD ok hihi

I haven't had a VCR for years, I hate to rewind the tapes.
