He better address this shit before US tour - although this European jaunt could be perceived as reasonably successful, it provides plenty to work on, most surrounding professionlism on Mr Roses part

you are a funny funnny guy.  Professionalism?  He's not Axl The Gent, he's Axl Fucking Rose.  Take him or leave him.   He better address this shit?  Who are you, his fucking dad?  Axl Rose doesn't owe you a goddamn thing pal, nor does he have to conduct his affairs the way you think he should.   get over yourself.   you make some of the stupidest posts.

Kudos to Axl and GNR for doing this tour.  It was a great summer  peace

Hindsights a mutherfucker!! I'm glad this tours over. They pretty much have to put out CD now or the US tour will be a disaster.

Why will the US tour be a disaster now? Because the man got sick and had to leave at the end of the concert for two songs?

Folks need to calm down about this disaster shit.

Just back from the show and scanned the thread.  Not sure where the high blood pressure bit came from as I'm sure I heard Merck say that Axl hadn't been well all day and it was due to low blood pressure.  (I stand ready to be corrected on this if I misheard.)  He had been advised not to perform but said there was no way he was cancelling the show.

With hindsight there were a few pointers to him being unwell dotted throughout the set - not in the way Axl sang or performed, that was as high energy as the rest of the tour has been, but in a couple of other things that didn't seem quite right to me.  First of all, Better was missed and I thought maybe there were going to be extras later on and so it was dropped for that reason.  Baz didn't come on for My Michelle - I thought possibly the same reason as before but not likely.  Axl wasn't joking and talking with the crowd, which I thought he would've it being thelast night.  During You Gotta Move, Izzy and Del stood front of stage and sang - Axl left the stage, when normally (if I remember correctly) he joins in.  They didn't do Think About You, going straight into Patience instead.  The most telling moment for me was the band introductions, there was no messing about but a very quick run through the names.  It was at that point that I thought he wants this show over with as quickly as possible.  Also, Dizzy played his solo and was ready to go into The Blues but no Axl on stage.  Dizzy then played for a while longer and Axl appeared.

Fortunately Baz was at the side of the stage and leapt into action and finished Nightrain, with the help of the crowd.  Same went for PC.  It wasn't until the lights had gone up that Merck walked on stage, announced who he was and told us about Axl and said that the doctor was with him.  I hung around afterwards for about 20 min or so but was unable to get any more details.   I'm sure more details will emerge shortly - maybe even a press release from Merck.

All in all it was a sad ending for such a successful tour and I'm sure Axl feels gutted that he didn't quite manage to finish the show, but ultimately his health and well-being is of paramount importance.  Axl is quite simply the best frontman around and I want to wish him all the best and thank him and the rest of GNR for giving me such an amazingly memorable summer of 2006.  I feel extremely lucky and privileged to have been able to share this tour with them.

Get well soon, Axl.   love

I'm glad this tour ended...

but I'm not convinced that it was just "voice problems" for Axl.
it sounds like a default excuse.

people who were at the show...

Did you notice Axl strugling? or did he just walk of...

him not showing up to excuse him self only backs up my doubt that there was another reason for him walkin of.

Axl went against doctors orders to give the fans what they wanted.  He made it 95% of the way.  Lets hope he takes a few weeks to rest up and we look forward to seeing GNR at Devore.  beer

Axl won't be able to tour as Guns N' Roses without Chinese Democracy in the US, and play packed arenas, unless he's got the Top Hatted one with him. The album is either going to come out now or there will be a repeat of 2002. I'm betting the album comes out. I think Axl's reunited enough of himself to release Chinese Democracy.

You selfish motherfucking cunts.

Every single one of you.

Yeah, I get it - Axl's just going to blow off the last night of the European tour for no good reason. He's come this far, but nah, he doesn't feel like doing one last show.

GET WITH THE FUCKING PROGRAM!!!

Axl is allowed to get sick - would you prefer he took a heart attack on stage? Knowing you people, you'd find fault with that too.

You all make me fucking sick and should be ashamed to call yourself Guns N' Roses fans.

I haven't read all of the replies, but I think I got the geist of what happened tonight.  There has been a report from Merck that Axl has high blood pressure and he didn't finish Nightrain and didn't sing PC.

I guess he would have been better to HAVE A FUCKIN HEARTATTACK ON FUCKIN STAGE TO SATISFY SOME OF YOU FUCKHEADS HUH?

I hope I don't lose Karma over that, but sorry man, he put on a show he was advised against doing.  He gave it his all.  When he felt like he might just die, he stopped.  Tell ya the truth, I'm glad he stopped when he did.  Maybe he'll be able to have a tour later on after a rest.  I hope as fuck he can.

Get well Axl, there are a few people here that support you.

I agree, there's no pleasing some people! To some assholes on here, everything is Axl's fault, even his health!! They just can't think about it in a "its not Axl's fault" POV!! They're just greedy insensitive assholes who don't give a fuck about his health, they just want the album and for Axl to do everything perfectly 100% of the time!

Axl did as much as he felt he possibly could, and its obvious he's gunna feel bad enough about this without people bitching about it!!

@ the bitching people:

YOU PEOPLE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!!

@ Axl:

Get well soon man, you did great!! Hope ya feel better soon! ok

hey this is axl rose you are talking about.
he never had a good reason for doing anything stupid, but he did it anyway.
why would this time be an exception.

how naive can you get? at least have some doubt. no wonder all the rumors around here fly. there's always someone like you that believes everything.

I'm not saying that he didnt get ill, but at least he could say something.

Hmm.? Let's see here:? Axl & Guns in seclusion for the better part of a decade, or Axl touring consistently without tantrums and walk-offs (resulting in cancelled shows) until he blows his throat out and cuts a set short by two songs?

Me, I'll take the latter all day long.

If I was at the show and Axl couldn't finish the whole set, I'd be disappointed, too. ?That said, everyone needs to calm down a bit here, don't you agree? ?The guy's human, and the tour has gone very well so far. ?Take a break, get the album out, and keep moving forward...

I'm stunned at some of the comments here myself. Instead of wishing the guy well and a speedy recovery, folks are insulting him and demanding he put the album out RIGHT AWAY or else. no

Some of the so-called "haters" are not haters, at all.  I'm a big fan of Axl (musically) and am rooting for the new music and the tour -- and, generally, the European tour went well.

But why are you automatically labelled a "hater" when you call it like it is:

1.  Axl is routinely very late to start.  Not just "a little late" -- instead, he often makes fans wait 90 minutes or more between acts.  And it makes no difference if that means that the working class fans either have to leave the gig early or miss public transporation to get back home.  "Oh, but that's just Axl!"  Bullshit: I can't think of any other major band that does that over and over to fans and gets away with it.  Why is this complete self-centerdness "okay"?

2.  Although he does better this tour, he still storms off stage with some regularity.   Of course, NO OTHER rock star is ever hit with objects while performing, but ignores it because the 9,999 other fans paid good money and had nothing to do with the object that was thrown.

3.  I've been to gigs where singers have "blown out their throat."  You know what a respectful, grown-up singer does in the worst case scenario:  they come out, apologize to the audience, and state that they can't finish the show or (like Bono and Springsteen have routinely done) they ask the audience to sing the songs.  They don't just disappear and send out friends and cronies with (likely bullshit) stories.  (And if you don't think that the second gig at 6am this morning had ANYTHING to do with the end of this gig, I got a great bridge to sell you.)

I'm sure this makes me a "hater."  But I feel like I have lot more self-respect than all the fools posting the sycophantic " AWWW, GET WELL SOON, AXL" b.s.

Damn fucking straight! beer

The fucking nerve of some people!! Insensitive, greedy, selfish CUNTS who don't seem to give a shit that Axl is not a fucking robot and should not be treated as such!
He's a human being who gets sick occasionally! Just like everyone else on this planet!

But do these people realize it? NOOO!! They couldn't give two shits! They just want Axl to come out onstage every night and deliver!

Well ya know what, THAT DOESN'T ALWAYS HAPPEN!!! And they should know better anyway!! For fuck's sake its not like Axl is the most punctual/reliable person in the world anyway! Why whine so much that he only delivered for 95% of the gig!!? Jeez, its fucking better than him not going on at all or cancelling like what the fucking doctor said!!

AAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!! I'm SO fucking ANGRY!! I can't fucking believe the UTTER SELFISHNESS of some people!! rant rant rant rant

... excuse me, I must go punch a wall.
