To all the haters: ?Just fuck off. ?Half of the so-called "fans" here don't deserve a chance to hear CD. ?What did he miss? ?1 1/2 songs out of almost 40 shows??? ?

Get well Axl...take care of yourself. ? peace

This European tour was overall successfull. That's what is important. Be positive  ok

And we got rid of the chickenheaded one and replaced him with an effing legend.

2 songs and it would have been handshakes and hurrahs all round. Now its hospital food and hangovers.

Waiting for Promised Land....

Regardless of why it happened I just hope he gets this drama out of his system before he plans on touring the states because it is just not going to fly over here if he ever plans on being anything more than a carnival act in the future.

He needs to pull it together and anounce a release date and follow through, as the European tour amounted to nothing more than a nostalgia based cash grab. I want to see them be successful, but there needs to be some album info before he can start any type of U.S tour, otherwise he runs the risk of being viewed as a Poison/Motley Crue type nostalgia act. I was really holding out hope that out of 30 some odd European dates we might get some type of update as to what is going on with the album.

The ending to tonight's show seems to be a microcosm of this bands existance. Everytime they build some momentum and get your hopes up some type of incident occurs that takes the wind out of your sales. Disappointing end to an otherwise reasonably successful tour.

First off, we are not owed any update as to the album's status.  Second, this ending is only deeply disappointing if you assess blame, which you obviously are, although unjustly.  You don't know what happened to lead to Axl's health problems, so don't judge.  Getting sick or blowing your vocal cords isn't an "incident".  It falls under the "shit happens" category.

I hope axl is ok. Not a big deal in terms of the entire tour. I wish Axl had not done the acoustic and instead rested his voice.

Anyway, good beginning, great things to come.

Yeah, a part of me is really surprised he had this many shows done where he sounded really strong.

Hi Folks,

Well just got back and have to say up until the nighttrain there wasnt a hint of a problem, the show was awesome and im really dissapointed, but only from a selfish point of view that the show was cut short and didnt get to see the new songs ect , the only point is that if you drop the ball so many times for silly reasons and then something serious and legit happens people will just be saying shit like "axl left for a roast dinner" or " he had a temper fit again and stormed off" because not matter what people say the press do matter and they will probaly have a field day with this, any way i enjoyed it so fuck em.

Watch out USA

Axl gonna get ya.

Good. I was wondering if he was noticably struggling before he left.

People like Dunkin Dave, should just be banned. But retards like him will come back with a different user name because they have nothing better to do then to bitch over the internet about a concert they were not even at.

Honestly buddy get a life, leave this board and let the fans enjoy it.

Too many people here have to bitch and whine and complain and its really frustrating that you have to read 5 or 6 pages of some dumb shit like Dunkin Dave bitching about Axl cause he blew his voice.

Its so easy to be a critic. But the thing is shits that bitch like Dunkin Dave, really have no right to bitch. Its like why dont you form a band Dunkin Dave and sing 20 / more dates. Lets see how you do.

So in conclusion get fucking lost and a I hope you get banned, cause coming to this board and having to deal with retard shits like yourself is annoying.

jimmer

I haven't said anything negative about Axl in this thread - what are you talking about?

It will be interesting to read what comes out as people who were there post their opinions. I just hope it was excessive partying that caused it and not Axl having a trademark blue smarties moment.

again people, techinaly axl finished the show. He just didnt do the encore. They could have ended it after NT but Bach said he would sing PC. Again axl just missed the encore, dont worry.

It falls under the "shit happens" category.

That may be the case, but "Shit" seems to happen with this band more than most it seems. Or at the very least, given his history he is rarely afforded the benefit of the doubt. There is no blame to be handed out, just the mere fact that a continuation of the status quo in the states will kill the band's comeback.

We may not be "owed" any update on CD, but by continuing to perform shows with no acknowledgement of the albums existance you lump yourself in with the Poison's and Motley Crue's of the world who tour around to big crowds as a nostalgia act living off past glory. GNR deserve better than this.

Why I'm not surprised to see a lot of people bashing Axl here?!? He was ill and, yet, sang as much as he could! If he decided to listen to whoever told him to not to play tonight, the same people would be here posting shit about him, saying that he doesn't care about his fans, that "he can't be THAT ill" and that he's just a "pussy that can't handle 2 show in a row"...FUCK THEM!!!!! Axl gave the best he could and he could had left the stage in nightrain and it would be it, but no, Sebastian Bach sang the rest of the encore so the fans that did buy the ticket could see the entire set...

Someone here said that it's a stupid selfish attitude, and, saddly, I have to agree with that!!!

You don't know how hard is to sing while you're ill and, yet, Axl sang for more and one and a half hour...

AXL, GET BETTER SOON!!!!! ok ok ok

Chinese Democracy Is Coming Some Day!!!

« Reply #534 on: July 30, 2006, 08:17:49 PM »

So is Axl alright, was it only high blood pressure? I doubt we will ever know the true reason of the high blood pressure but I hope it doesnt turn to anything wrose. I hope Axl's health is holding up. We all have to rememer he's getting older, and its not uncommon for someone at his age to have heart problems.

The really sad part is this will only be negative feedback that will over shadow, all the positives of this band on this tour. I think the European tour was a success, and allowed this band to grow and bond. I hope we get word soon on CD. Something is going ot have to change to get the "assholes" from the US to accept him. I call some assholes because they are going to want something for them to even accept Axl back. I hope we get word soon on Chinese, because right now its so great, to have the guys back out on stage. I hope things continue to grow. It was fun this summer getting the updates, and all the photos from the shows overseas.

For those who are only going to bitch and bash this band, just go away and listen to your Dashboard Confessionals cds. or your Panic at the Disco.

if he blew his voice, he could be able to sing as soon as tomorrow, or a couple of days, unless he tore a vocal chord, then its surgery and months

I'm still outraged that Axl came on late the other night and the buses weren't running when the show ended!

Axl is an inconsiderate asshole! ? hihi

I think the only thing worth mentioning about this is that it is kind of funny that the last GN'R song of the tour didn't have a single original member of the band. ?I think this answers the question that was posed in the "GNR without Axl?" thread: Yes! As long as Bach is available!
