Completely unprofessional of Axl.

He has let the whole band down.

Why were they pi$$ing about in clubs until 6 in the morning? Why is he now crying off? This will get the press coverage the tour has failed to get. Kerrang and the daily papers in the UK will love a disaster story like this one.

Why couldn't Axl just do the right thing for once?

Dude - he blew out his vocal chords.

thank god they had seb around tho, at least he'll have given PC justice

if its down to illness then weve had an entire GNR tour without any catastrophic mishaps, sweden was a funny blip but nothing serious, so we should be happy shouldnt we? and from what people are saying it was a great gig anyway

as far as im concerned this is not an important thing if he was actually ill, now "all" we need is an announcenement regarding CD  Smiley

how many times in history did axl not sang PC and let other person do it for him

Duff sang it, not very well either,  in Hamilton '93.

There was one GN'R gig back in the old days completely done without Axl, I believe because of legal problems, though I'm not sure about the reason.

How the hell is it unprofessional to have problems with your voice?  It happens to every singer, man.  It's just a fact of the business, not a reflection of any irresponsibility on Axl's part.

What would have been the right thing to do in your eyes?

Ali

The club gig that didn't finish until 6 in the morning? Did he need to do that? Really? Why could that not have followed tonights gig?

During the Pop Mart Tour, Bono blew out his voice in Vancouver, CA, half ways duing the show. ?He couldn't sing anymore, period! ?The Edge took over lead vocals for the rest of the night. ?Hey man, it happens to everybody!

Why couldn't Axl just do the right thing for once?
The right thing? He wasn't even supposed to perform tonight you tit; Yet, he almost finished the entire set with the exception of Nightrain's outro and Paradise City. So, to you the right thing for Axl to do was to risk his health?

You don't even appreciate the fact that he performed for over 90% of tonights show while being ill. Your whining disgusts me.

from mygnr:

Show finished w/ PC. Bach sang last two songs. Dancing midgets waving union jack flags came with confetti.

Merck addressed fans:
Merck came on and apologised and said, Axl had high blood pressure and was unable to perform last two songs.

I bet fans of other bands dont suffer half as much as we do.. lol everything was going great, the tour (in general) was a success but... WHY?? lol why does this has to end this way? Lol yeah he is ill, can happen to everyone, especially to those who now can?t do anything but drink all night long... lol hell man... don?t even kno what to say... kinda dissapointed ?no

I don't define being "sick" as including staying up until 6am to do another acoustic gig on the eve of the last show.  Yes, three shows in 24 hours will "blow out" one's voice.  But Axl's responsibility was not to his clubbing buddies at 6am, but rather to the 10,000+ paying fans.  You take some rest and perform at the last show.  OR, at a minimum, you come back out on stage, say goodnight like a gentleman, and bow out with an apology.  That's called having some class and sensitivity to the fans -- but why do I bother.

I'm a huge fan of the guy musically, but he consistently acts like an ass with the fans -- and y'all put up with it, time and time again.

No joke I'm afraid. I've done several updates over the last week and this is the report I'm receiving.

Axl is apparently ill after the acoustic set last night and was told not to perform tonight. Apparently he reached half way through Nightrain and couldn't go on. Doctors orders according to Seb so that's why he sang PC so that the crowd could have the full encore.

Axl was told not to sing, but yet he did and did what he could for the last show. ?What do people expect? Be grateful the tour was a success, and GNR are actually back!
