The had a back up drummer for Brain and they had a back up singer for Axl. Classic stuff, they should buy Tommys old bands name.

He has been drinking a lot and did two concerts last night, Im sure the exhaustion from touring singing and drinking made him ill. Nature doesnt understand "timeframes", Axl got sick thats all.

If it's really a health problem, then we should all stop bitching about it! ?rant
I'm sure Axl feels 1000 times more disappointed than us right now!
I hope it's nothing serious... ?Undecided

could Axls illness be the explanation for Beta pacing around backstage? His ill health could of given way at any point?

yes that makes perfect sense, all fits together now, shame to end the tour like this but atleast they got a full show thanks to Seb.

what a fucking J O K E, its the last show of the tour and he has a sour throat boohoo im sure he could have done 1 more song. paradise city with no original guns n roses members WHAT A JOKE

Angry you people annoy me, Axl was ILL it never said anything about his throat, give the man credit he tried a full show when he should have been resting, if that isnt dedication i dont know what is. Leave the man alone!

Completely unprofessional of Axl.

He has let the whole band down.

Why were they pi$$ing about in clubs until 6 in the morning? Why is he now crying off? This will get the press coverage the tour has failed to get. Kerrang and the daily papers in the UK will love a disaster story like this one.

Why couldn't Axl just do the right thing for once?

Still searching for a solution

« Reply #429 on: July 30, 2006, 07:25:03 PM »

I don't understand why everyone is getting so angry.  Axl got sick.  It happens.  Instead of bitching like spoiled little kids who feel they are owed something, just say "that's too bad, man.  Hope you feel better."

At least he tried to fight through it and finish the last show of the tour.  He didn't even have to do that.

Ali

Yeah I agree with you man. At least he did the gig. Look at Jonathan Davies of Korn: he pulled out of Download at the last minute. Axl showed up and did his best.

It makes me think how difficult a tour can be when someone becomes ill. I saw the Smashing Pumpkins in 2000 and Billy Corgan's throat was fucked. They played for half the normal set time and he was in agony. But what's the solution? Pull out and play the gig some time later or fulfil your obligations when people are waiting?

Too bad... but if Axl was really ill, it's cool that he played the show as long as he could Wink
I had high hopes today (Brian May / Single Release Date or something) but I think we will see something like that in the U.S.

GnR, please come back to Europe 2007! Prague was great? hihi

Good fuckin' night!

Great picture on your avatar.. ?ok

Im sure August will bring us some good news, so lets just be happy for the great europe tour..

Oh fuck off, this is no disaster. Axl was sick, and missed one song, out of 20- that's a tiny proportion of the show. The audience there still had a good show, and I'm sure a great time. What more do you want of the man? Blood?

here's what i don't like, i seriously do not expect an announcement in August, and then nothing when the US tour starts...its just not good. ?I applaud Axl for going onstage and toughing it out, but wouldn't have happened had there not been the acoustic gig. ?I still think something would've happened had he not gotten sick and it ticks me off, thats all.

How the hell is it unprofessional to have problems with your voice? ?It happens to every singer, man. ?It's just a fact of the business, not a reflection of any irresponsibility on Axl's part.

What would have been the right thing to do in your eyes?
