Was the old GN'R being hate and bash by the press as well?  I know they are bashing the new guys because they are not the original member, but what do they ussually say about the old guys?  Just curius.

They were never loved, but anymore they deal with a "guilty until proven innocent" rap that at least the old band didn't have to deal with. Some would say Axl has only himself to blame for his poor relationship with the press and the constant negativity associated with this project and the media.

i got a whole package with newspapers of the southamerican leg of the world tour (92 and 93), and damn there is a lot of bashing by the press there

 I thought they are being bashed today because Axl is the only member, but how were they being bash before?
