This is from www.nme.com. You'll find it on the main page.

-------

Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose was taken ill on Sunday night (July 30), during the final UK date of the band's current tour.

The singer left the Wembley Arena stage and was replaced by Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach for the songs 'Night Train' and 'Paradise City'.

According to a statement issued by the band Rose's absence at the end of show was due to the singer being "diagnosed with low blood pressure and low blood sugar on Sunday (July 30) morning".

Prior to that GNR had played a special acoustic gig for competition winners in the early morning of July 30 at Club NME home Koko between 4am and 5.30am.

Following this show the singer was advised by a doctor not to play his final Wembley gig but according to the statment responded "fuck that, I have a show to do and I am not missing it".

Commenting after his no show during the encore on July 30, Rose added: "We have had an amazing tour and it has been fantastic for the band and I to experience this. I approached this last show with equal parts determination, obligation, responsibility and insanity. It was an amazing night. I want to thank everyone in Europe and the UK for inspiring us and for giving us the opportunity to play for them. We are now looking forward to the US in September."

Oh Axl how we love you........Wow this was a great tour people. ?Great fucking tour. ?He tried to go a million miles an hour the last two shows and only made it to 999,999. ?I'm so impressed and life ain't ever easy but it ain't so hard when you've got GNR making vibrations in Europe that you can feel in the US. ?Thanks again to all you reviewers and updaters. ?I'll return the favor a little later when they play Seattle and Portland. ?You guys are playing Seattle and Portland riiiiight?!? ?

I don't think that many really....theres not really many HUGE annual festivals here like there is in Europe, the ones in Europe seem to be known Worldwide....here it's more of a local thing realitive to the city it's being held in. I think they'll do this Inland Invasion then do an areana tour again.

That would be cool.  It sucks how we don't have festivals like that over here in the states.  Guess cause 90 percent of the music here sucks ass.  Seems like people in Europe have much better taste in music these days.

I think I would rather see Guns headling their own show, than to see them at a festival here in the US.  But it's true, we don't have many festival type shows at all and I don't really think the people in the UK have better taste in music, I just think that these days they have better music.

There are no good festivals in the US especially this part of the year.  Axl should have played Lollapalooza........the RHCP's are main eventing it.  The bands are mixed so it would have been a decent crowd to sample the tunes.  Other than that Ozzfest, but as gay as Ozzfest has been the last six years, I don't think I'd like to see GNR play it.

festivals in the us?  lmfao!  let's see, there's also ozzfest, warped tour, coachella.

i would rather see them do rtheir own shows anyways.  i'm just not into the all day out in the heat/beating down sun shoulder to shoulder with all kinds of sweaty people, lol.  now 20 years ago, that would be insanely fun, but i think i'm too old for it now.

If Axl ever took Guns to play the Warped tour I would disown the band.  Nothing but emo and pussy-punk crap on that shit.  I'd definitely rather see them just do their own stuff.  Lolla is about the only one they could do......They can't do the Rolling Rock town fair because Rolling Rock is no longer a PA thing so I'm thinking they're not going to have the fair anymore since the town will be desolate.

There's a few American versions of British festivals happening this fall.  I know there's a Download festival here, and a V festival on the east coast.  But I think the lineups have been set for all of these.

There's also the Bridge School Benefit in northern California, put on by Neil Young.  Maybe GNR did the acoustic show because they're warming up for that?

Vegoose pushed it's announcement back until next week. The only reason I could see for this is contracts haven't been finalized.

GNR? Maybe, but it is interesting.
