well.... i seriously missed brain in nijmegen. he kicked ass at rock am ring!!

frank is a good fill, but i don`w want to see him in gnr...

and some people here want finck to leave??? Undecided

you don`t seem to understand which kind of role he has in the new gnr and how important he is....  if finck leaves, this band is definitely over. believe me ok

I don't see what people see in Finck

Have you seen him live with GnR yet?? Totally changed my opinion for the better, but that's all it is, I suppose...opinion.

I have many many times and he's definetly better this time around, but he really messes up on many of the old gnr tunes.. He'll be better off when he sticks to his own music..

Listen to how Finck plays the solo on the re-recorded SCOM that was on that movie years ago.   Then listen to him play it live now.  Doesn't sound like he's messing it up to me.   He re-worked it a bit to fit his own style.   Thats the case with all the old gnr stuff.    Granted, I can understand why some wouldn't care for it, but I wouldn't say he's "messing it up".

well what I mean is the way Finck plays it live is similar to the way he layed it down on the studio track.    Its off topic anyways.  Frank rocks  peace

Robin Finck is one of the main points of GNR. If GNR got rid of him, who the fuck knows what would happen. Some people might be happy, most disappointed. And it would be very hard to find a good enough player to fill his shoes in in the covers, and even more so on his work on the album.

If you were a guitarist, you'd be able to see what is so insanley amazing about him. His solos and his technique is just incredible. It's so original and exquisite.

So yeah, when did this shit start up about Brain only wanting the money? Can anyone back that up?

No offense to Brain or anything, but Frank does a lot better of a job than Brain on the new songs.

i know something about guitars and i can tell you finck is not bad but he's worse than fortus and thal by far.
you're right when you say he is one of the main points of GNR now, i say  they are an awesome band now, but finck's style doesn't match with what i would really like to see in GNR.

but if you really think his solos and technique are exquisite you're really wrong folk

Brain was joking and being ironic in a few interviews. Unfortenately, people with less IQ than others didn't get it and started telling the masses. Then other low IQ people picked up on it as "the truth"  hihi

see some of you are like if finck left.. If he did leave for whatever reason no one would be calling his name or expecting him... It's like ron stepped into BH's shoes right before the may15th show and no one even cared. All finck has done is played a couple of months of shows ,otherwise he is a virtual unknown outside of here.. Some of you have grown to love him because you feel he's been in axl's band for almost a decade, but nobody else does or really cares.. Maybe if the band had a single  videos and  an album there would be something to miss.. Right now it's a lot of covers and less being their own band..

Your approach is wrong. If they had been playing covers, the bands name would be something else. Then it would have been a set list of AFD covers. Since the name of the band is GNR, it's not covers in that sort of way. To them it's songs they have no written themselves, but since it's GNR and Axl Rose, those are the songs they have to play. And they will continue play half of those songs even when CD is out.

Yes, I appreciate Robin Finck as one of the most important members of GNR. Not only because of his 8-9 years stay but I do suspect he's been very much into the song writing process as well. We have heard Better, there will be quite a lot of others IMO.

Man Frank was awesome...I was really impressed.  I saw his sticks at the end and they were completely shredded.  The man's a legend.

To be honest when i saw GNR at the NEC, Frank was soooo fucking into it, shouting during the set and keeping that GNR chant going between songs. Really seemed hyped up and loving it.?

That's what you want. Some passion, enthusiasm. When i saw them at Donnignton and Hammersmith, i wasn't looking at the drummer but at the NEC i was.? YCBM is much better too.?

I seen GNr at the may 12th show. I had heard what an amazing drummer brain was but i realized that not once during the entire set did I pay attention to him nor did I notice much beyond the songs with the drum intros. He didn't seem into it when I did give him a glance. During the show I got into what each band member was doing except for pitman. Everyone rocked. When i listened to some of frank's bootlegs, the drums jumped out at me. I even forgot it was him playing until the drums jumped out at me. I REALLY hope axl keeps frank. GNR needs a loud drummer, Brain seems more like a jazz drummer or something along those lines.

Just by reading comments from fans who attended the shows, you can tell Frank stands out. ?He's having the time of his life, hyping up the crowds and getting along well with Axl. ?He's gotten more attention on this tour than Brain has had during his entire tenure with the band. ?Let's face it, Brain is NOT a rock drummer but Frank is. ?And Brain doesn't really seem to care all that much. ?Axl, take notice, you don't let a drummer like that go.... you just don't!

Uhhhh, DCK, we all know he was joking on that show, no one even mentioned that.  confused

As a musician myself, I know when a musician is happy and isn't.  Brain just isn't into the shows, and like serveral other posters said, Frank is really enjoying himself and having a good time.  THAT'S what rock n' roll is all about.

Brain wouldn't even be photographed with the guys.
