If you were Axl...?

Ok... so what would be your strategy for the month of August?  Do you take the time off letting the band spend time with family etc...?; do you take a week or two off, get back to the studio and finish up the album in order to release it by years end?; do you get the media ready for a U.S. tour using the success of the tour in Europe as hype and attack that?; do you film a video for the first single? do you drink yourself into a stupor, climb onto a roof and scream "I'm Axl Fuckin' Rose, suck on that!"
With so many options August and early September are going to be very important to us Guns fans, and crucial to the "near" future of GN'R.  They should put 2002 behind and finish up 2006 on top!

What would you do?

I'd finalize the album and prepare for the US tour.

Give the band two weeks off...
Get into the studio and make sure CD is 100% ready..
Maybe play a suprise show in late August like MTV awards or something and announce CD date for October and announce US tour following it
Play the KROQ thing and then release CD the first part of October then tour the US.
Dominate the US, Canada and then to South America then back to Europe or Asia.

Get out the album as soon as possible.  That should be the main goal ahead of anything else.

if the album is realesed in september , then it safe to say the actual manufacturing of it will take place this month and next month.....ripping jewle case, artwork yada yada yada, shipping to all over the world .



so logically speaking even if it is to come out in the next few months a leak of its processing in general would leak ,lol

Or realistically, release 'Chinese Democracy' as a solo effort with his current band.

Go back to USA...give the band a week break for family...back in the studio finalise the album and book more shit like the VMA's n stuff to get the music out there.

the only priority he should have at this point is getting the cd released. THats it, he shouldn't even think about touring anymore until that is done. Other the states will eat him alive....

but knowing axl he probably won't release it.... so in that case he should only play cities and venues he can sell out. Keep the demand and the hype behind the shows high. No playing half full arena's in boise.

I think a tour of only major centers in 3000-8000 seats, two shows a city would be a great way to keep the interest high and keep the hype up.

But really just release a fucking album already.
