Frank more of a rock drummer than Brain?

I was just watching, the Better video from Nottingham, and it seems to me that Frank really pounds those drums in true Gonzo fashion. It is very danceable, and easy for rock fans to hook onto! In fact, there is a drum fill at the end of Nightrain at Goffertpark that is better than any I've seen in years. On the other hand, I was watching Soundstage two weeks ago with Bill Laswell and friends, and Brain--in a funk/jazz/jam band groove--completely tore it up!! I think both drummers, while different in style, are great. I just wonder, though, if Frank adds a more danceable beat, like Adler did on Appetite. Is Frank to Adler, what Brain is to Sorum?

That is a great version of WTTJ, ISE, and MB. Does anyone have a video of Brain, on Soundstage with Bill Laswell and Bucket?
Anyways, I wonder if Frank's live style may fit this band better?

Frank's peformance at Manchester, as with the rest of the band was amazing.
He was perfect. He was also really into the music and was in full-on coreography mode with the crowd. He was brilliant.
I would be more than happy if he were to join on a full time basis. But Brain is also a very talented guy and he won't put a stick wrong for the band either.
Two very, very good drummers.

It is very danceable
Perfect word for it, his YCBM intro has a real swing to it.
EDIT: Better sounds fucking heavy from Nottingham!

I'd be happy to see Frank remain as the gnr drummer. He was great in Glasgow and had good involvement with the crowd.

I agree, his YCBM drumming is indeed awesome, much much better than brain. Also on other songs I like his drumming more. I personally think he's the better drummer of the two.

Frank is great, he is having the time of his life
He loves it and it really shows when you are watching live.
He is all smiles and is another personality on stage, he really interacts with the fans, with displays of enthusiasm and enjoyment.
In Glasgow, we were all making our own percussion for the last part of Patience, stomping and clapping and big Frank was conducting us, absolutely loving it.
He was great, really added something to the band.
I have never seen Brain live and I don't know what he is like, but he seems to be a great drummer as well, and as far as I'm concerned he is still the drummer in GNR - he is the one who worked on the material over the years and I am looking forward to hearing studio albums so I can hear what he has done, I'm sure it will be great.
If he ever decides to bail out, at least we know who to call.

I second that. While I think Frank is an excellent drummer, it's a bummer that some of you? really want him to take Brains spot permanately.

I second that man frank cant match brains intensity and what up with everyone saying fits the band better just like people said bumblefoot fit the band better because hes not a freak like buckethead is. Dont get me wrong Ron is great but you all are quick to jump against bucket and such except for a few of you...... Damn got sidetracked
Looks like Ron considers him self a freak haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Basically what's wrong with a musician/ an artist being/looking a freak?
well said chinese democracy and some other guys.
yep, frank is another great drummer. seems full of fun as well.
brain is the drummer of GnR among drummers.
Axl: Brain was in a band called Ted Zeppelin.
Bach: Who was?
Axl: Our drummer.
