they did this with the UYI albums too
it was release like a few months or so into touring
Yeah and I think people often forget just how many times those albums were delayed as well.
true... but not so much though
Originally the next record was supposed to come out in 1988. Since it was taking longer then they thought they recorded the tracks for Lies, slapped it together w/ the stuff from Live Like A Suicide and released that because supposedly the album would be ready for 1989. Then they had about every set back known to creation and the album got pushed back again. They finally were released in September 1991 as we all know.
I know there are a TON of difference between then and now, CD and UYI however I just wanted to make it clear that UYI was
very
much delayed.
we were talking about 30 tracks... not for 13... If they could release now 4LPs like they did back then everyone would be happy
Thats one of the "ton of differences" I was talking about.
Of course, they've also, supposedly, recorded 3 CDs worth of material this time around and have 70+ songs.

They should release CD at the beginning of the tour, then another cd during the mid of the tour. I think they need to get a ton of new material out.

I'd call "by the end of the year" soon.

I noticed we were way off topic too. To be honest, I've written Richard twice and never received a reply!

I sent him one along time ago. He never replied.
Maybe he hates realists.

Hahaha....that whole exchange was great. Nice to see some friendly banter going on instead of just plain mean jabs.
I sent the email to the link on his website (
richard@4tus.com
I think? I don't remember now). Anyways, I don't feel he owes me a reply, I was just wondering why everyone seems to get a reply but me!

Yeah, I guess I should've told him he saved GNR and he might not have thrown my email away.
Or maybe he's read the rumours that I'm Paul Huge.

Hi Anderson,
I appologize for the lengthy delay in responding to your email. To
answer your question, we are planning a tour of Asia around March. The
details are being worked out, but that is what we are hoping for. Thanks
for your interest.

When we finally get some news nobody cares?
GN'R making new plans can only be good in terms of the album.

He probably asked the question back in June, but Richard hasn't replied until now...
