How is it a "Slash Song", and besides that hasn't stopped Axl playing songs live which were written by the old member (some songs from AFD) so I don't see why this would stop him.

Richard Fortus, the phenomenon

I love "Civil War" but... I'd like them to play their own songs now. I'm more exited to hear a Live version of "Catcher in the Rye" than "Civil war".

I'd be psyched to hear anything from the Illusions besides YCBM, NR, LALD and KOHD. I love the new stuff, and AFD is cool too, but there is some awesome stuff on the Illusions I would love to see the new band play. Hearing Brain's drums and Robin and Richard's guitars on some of those songs would be amazing!

The irritating thing for me at this point is that 2 of the 4 Illusion songs are covers. Let's drop the old covers and stick to the new ones-Sailing and Sway! This subject has been beat to death though. Richard is a great guy though for responding to all you stalkers. beer

Just got this back from Fortus ... I think it's pretty significant !

Richard ,
>
> Big fan, I wrote you last spring, and really appreciated your response.  I was
fortunate enough to see you guys at Hammerstein in May 15.  Awesome show ! I
tell everyone I saw you guys.  I know you'll be busy with the upcoming shows,
I'm just curious to know if you could give me a time frame of when do you think
you guys will be returning to the North East to tour again, and is DC or NJ a
strong possibility for a show?  And if you can, but I understand if you can't
hint that the album will be out during the tour Huh I'm sorry I had to ask, it
just really means alot to us die-hard fans that we get a chance to hear this
masterpiece ! I look forward to your response.  Goodluck with everything !

His response:
I believe that we'll be in DC and NJ around early November.  Not
absolutely sure as things keep changing though.  The album will be out
at some point during the tour.
thanks for your support.

fortunately those parts don`t have anything to do with eachother ok

I took the "things keep changing" part to mean specific tour dates (where and when), and not connected to the album being released...wishful thinking, maybe?

Yeah I think they can re-arrange some dates, but that should not affect the plans for the album.
