Hi Dennis,
THanks for taking the time to write to me. I appreciate your kind
words. Glad to hear that you like our version of 'beautiful'. It's
sort of become the intro to 'out to get me'. We are firming up details
on a US tour that will start at the end of September and run through
December. Hope to see you then.

I'd like to see them at the VMA Cool
I liked the VMA 2002 (exept Buckethead the Alien) but I think it will be even better now because the band is better and looks better than in 2002.

No it wasn't. Roll Eyes

So Axl screwed up a bit on WTTJ.

Big deal.

No different then when they have technical problems now and he can't hear himself sing.

Axl's monitor died and the sound mix on television was horrible.

Plus Axl looked like shit.

That was a terrible performance, without question.

Why do people always bring up the VMAs, there are other awards shows they could play, hell they don't even have to play any, this is about a tour not some MTV show.

Richard just answered the e-mail I sent to him in June, asking things about the brazilian tour and also asking if there's any chance to bring Sebastian Bach with them, because his solo band is awsome and I know his guitar player, so I might get to meet GnR! Grin Grin

Here's his reply:

Hi Rafael,
Thanks for writing.  So I am not sure, but i think that we will be there
around January of '07.  We are still trying to firm things up.  I think
we might try to take Sebastian with us again.  He is so great to have
around!  I don't know how many shows.  I'm hoping that it won't just be
one big show in Rio, but that we will at least do a few shows in Brazil.

see you soon,
richard

So, i guees they are planning a big show in Rio de Janeiro. So I think it can be on Maracan? Stadium or at the Apoteose...BUT I have heard people saying that GnR might do a free concert on the Copacabana Beach next year. Since it's something that became usual to do here. This year we had Rolling Stones and last year we had lenny kravitz...and I've heard abaut a Guns' concert right after the Stones' concert, but I figure it would be bullshit, but now I don't know, because Richard said "January '07" and "A big show in Rio", and those concerts are always at the beginning of the year...so I don't know...there's any chance of that happen or am I writing shit here?(despite of my shit english! hihi)

I dont think thats the point.. a good show is a good show, and a bad show is a band show.. thats it.. No one is bashing Axl for the performance or looks, but are just beeing objectiv..

The band today sure looks alot more GnR too me, then in 2002... They have found theyr spot!

About the same length as the European tour. I hope it's not that long- that led to them playing nowheresville 20 times in 2002 to half empty arenas. Overbooking and shoddy promoters- they really should stick to major markets this time, and I hope they realise that. 10- 15 major US cities, couple in Canada, then maybe 10 dates in South America would be just about right, and would give time for odds and ends of finishing up/promoting the record in the media.

I really truly hope they DON'T do a free show in Copacabana, I don't wanna have to arrive 4 days early to get a good spot and I don't want to stand 1 mile from the stage either Tongue

4 days? It's Guns N'Roses, mate, not Rolling Stones.? hihi If you want to get a good spot, you would have to arrive at least 1 week before that. That's what happened in 2001 and it wasn't even free. I've read about them being there in January somewhere else too. I think it's definitely happening.
Good luck.? ok
