quoted previously? God bless you. I hope Santa was good to you. Keep
holding your breath man, March is right around the corner.

Richard asked me to post these to avoid any confusion over whether or not he wrote them, and so that people could know exactly what he was responding to. Also, to clear up that it is Richard Fortus who reads and answers the e-mails via his interact section at richardfortusonline.com.

Well, if this is true, then it sounds like even Richard is under the impression that this album has the chance of not being released.  Thanks for posting. ok

I think what he means is that if it don't come out ever (hypothetically) then it's not like we will all just die or anything. The world will go on with or without the album.  Wink

Shuffle, he should have told the asshole to fuck off. I am suprised he responded with a cool head. Personally, the jerk didn't deserve a response at all. It's simple-they haven't decided on a release date yet. Richard's got my respect. ?peace

Yes, cause now its only a matter of fact, when? will Richard be finished rewriting all of buckets parts, each song Axl has to approve and lay down vocals again. This could take 2 years witch is good for Axl cause certain contracts would have expired saving Axl/band tons of money.

He at least makes an effort to give some kind of a concrete answer in the current world of GNR vague-ness. I get the feeling that he would at times like to say more, but that he chooses not to do so, as opposed to not being allowed to, by some or other contract.

Good on him, Richard is cool, here's hoping that he sometimes mentiones these threads to the main man himself, and communicates our messages accross.

I wouldn't be surprised if the GNR management decided to make their announcement here directly, as opposed to some other news source, just to show their appreciation for this forum.

Well parts the second half of the message were pretty harsh! Funny thing is, when you send him a shitty email you actually get more of a response then "we hope to be touring again one day... the end". I for one thought the email was brilliant, at least the part with the quotes anyways.

I think since these band "members" have made all of these statements giving us false hope they should be called out on it. I'm stoked you wrote that shit in the email... it's about time!!

I get that he says we'll all live w/out the album... blah blah blah. But really the only reason I come to this board is because of the new band and the fact that they have supposedly been working on this album and say they will tour again. If it isn't going to come out then please stop fucking with the people who support you and have been waiting for years for this shit to come out.

After reading his reply I'm almost ready to give up hope. Really, there have probably been more hints dropped that the album will never come out than anything.
