superb! Cheers.
As for Brain, he talks a lot of ghetto shit about only doing it for the
$.  Bottom line is, he loves it.  He's one of the greatest drummers
I've ever played with.  The dude is just sick!

As for Axl, if it was strictly business, none of us would have stuck around for as long as we
have.  I consider him family.  He's a beautiful human, not at all like
how he is perceived.  You have to realize that he CHOOSES not to defend
himself in the press.  He believes that all that matters is the music.
I respect that so much.  As for Bucket, I was cool with him.  Haven't
heard from him since he left.  He's a very strange dude.  Not exactly
"stable", but I got along well with him.  He's a great musician.

Sure enough. yes

Thanks for writing. Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. There are
still some last minute details that are being recorded. The record
should be out in early '06 and a tour will follow. Don't give up on
us, it will be worth the wait.

Dont you guys get it? Chinese Democracy can't start until Buckethead's current tour ends.. cuz what will GN'R do without their guitarist? The tour ends on dec 22...

Haha.. wishful thinking. God I wish.

No, no don't you get it? ----> Richard said "As for Bucket, I was cool with him.?Haven't
heard from him since he left. He's a very strange dude.  Not exactly
"stable"
." Isn't that enough clear for you? Buckethead belongs to the past and it's perfect like that.
and...who is "their guitarist"? For me it's Richard Fortus and Robin Finck. I don't see anyone else. Even in 2002, Finck and Fortus played 80% of the guitar parts.

I noticed that myself when i watched Albany 2002. BH didn't do as much as i expected.

that doesnt mean Bucket didnt have a big role with the new material. Im sure he is more involved with the new stuff. Who cares about the old stuff. I hope he comes back for when they tour and do videos but if not as long as Axl keeps his stuff then ill be happy

That's true. Perhaps part of the delay was the modification of BH's guitar tracks so they can be done live with 2 guitars.

Sometimes Buckethead's fingers didn't even move on rythmic parts. He was standing for playing a shredd solo for 30 seconds, and that's it. Playing 30 seconds on a 4 minutes lenght song isn't what I would call a major contibution. I think he didn't even play on "the blues" on some shows. He was more an "additional musician" for me.

Anyway, let's hope CD will be released in 06. Fortus is a cool dude.

Buckethead is/was absolutley instrumental to theis incarnation of GNR.
He was set to be the other 'star' of GNR and he was the only one remotely capable of detracting somewhat from the gaping hole Slash has left

Fortus however, is a fill the gaps kind of player if you ask me. Versatile, able to fill in here and there - a magpie if you will.

So nesquick - why the obsession with him??

When GNR play a concert with Finck/Fortus alone we wil have a better idea if what you say is true.

I think he will shine brightly as a guitarist(and as a person)in GNR and perhaps get some name recognition out of it

Guys I wasn't intending to start a "Was buckethead good for GN'R?" arguement when I said what I said.. I was only joking/ wishfully hoping. I love Richard.. and im sure when I listen to C.D. im going to love Robin (lol)...

Im a big fan of Bucket's solo work and I know that what he did for C.D. will just be amazing. Listen to that damn guitar in "We Are One".. and its trippy. Love it. Plus.. he was the only one who could preform Slash's work without butchering it..

And to the person who said that sometimes bucket's hand didnt even move during rythm sections.. sometimes Axl wasn't even on stage during rythm sections...  hihi

I truely hope that Axl and Bucket resolve their differences.. but since that probably wont happen.. im fine with Richard/ Robin.

Ya, I don't like quiters anyway! bucket left GNR for what reason I don't care. I like Richards work. Last minute Vocals? or new Guitar parts? Only if the music is better would I want Bucket around,  his look I don't really get, if you don't like the look of your own face I could understand. I myself like Richards style and the rocker/artist look.

i REALLY think that not every gnr fan should write to him asking the same questions over and over again. i can understand that he`s getting sick of it, but it`s very cool to answer though.

Hi Dennis,
well since my last email, Swan Lee have broken up.  I spoke to Pernille
a little while ago. She is excited about her new band though.  I'm sure
it will be great.  She sent me the live DVD from Swan Lee.  Perhaps her
new band will open for Gn'R when we play Denmark!
Hope to be there in '06.
thanks,
richard
