Okay ?Smiley
here it is ?Cool

Hi Nytunz,
Thanks for taking the time to write to me. ?I appologize for the delay
in responding to your email. ?You've probably already purchased a
guitar. ?I hope that you spent the extra money and bought a Les Paul
standard, or at least a studio. ?At the end of the day, you could
always get your $ out of a Gibson. ?It would be very hard to get much
for an Epiphone or an ESP. ?The goldtop that I believe you are
reffering to is a Les Paul Signature. ?They were made in 1973. ?I have
2 of them. ?Epiphone did make a copy of them for a while, but was
discontinued. ?I love those guitars! ?Very expensive though and hard to
find. ?If you can, buy a Gibson, even if it's a few years old and used.
It will hold it's value over the years and they are truly superior
instruments!
thanks,
richard

1) Because Slash left an impossible Inheritance to reach.

Richard is more versitle than slash is as a guitar player.

I agree 100 % on that!

Got a reallyt cool reply today too:

Hi Bruno,
Thanks for taking the time to write to me.  I appologize for the very
long delay in replying to your email.  I have been trying to catch up
on my website email.  I'm sorry that I can't answer most of your Gn'R
questions.  I really appreciate your support though and all of your
kind words.  We are planning to tour in Brazil.  Things are not
finalized, but they are being planned now.  The band is very excited
about the release of the record and the shows have been going really
well.  In response to your question about Robin.  I love playing with
Robin.  It's an honor and a privilege to play with him.  I think he is
one of the greatest guitarists there is and I feel a very real
connection with him as a musician and as a human.  There is no other
guitarist that i'd rather be in a band with.  This is going to be a
very big year for Gn'R.  I'm really excited for the world to hear
Chinese Democracy.
thanks for your support,
richard

awesome email!!! peace

I love how he talks about Robin, shows they are big friends out of GnR too.. they have a great bond and that reall shows on stage love

and I'm really excited for the world to hear CD too!!! geez we only had a few demos and live songs and I already can tell it's gonna be a huge success!! can't wait!

assuming you have $3000 to blow of course hihi Epiphone's are supposed to be nearly equivilant....i read somewhere "for an epiphone you pay 25% of the price of a Gibson for 80% of the quality of a gibson" hihi but if you are buying for an investment or planning on being a pro and have the cash...go gibson...definately play alot of them before you buy though....I heard the slash sig epi was really good if you can find one Wink I'm looking to buy a les paul too so I've been reading up on it for a few weeks peace but everybody tells me to do some thorough research before buying...at the same time if you absolutely NEED the gibson then get the gibson cuz you won't be happy with anything less

  To
answer the question about IRS, yes, i can play that spot on.
I would like to see that. BBF doesn't do the solo justice, and I would like to see/hear Fortus attempt it. He cant possibly do it any worse. hihi

James, if Richard says he can do it, he can do it.  I have no doubts as to his technical proficiency, even though he doesn't show it off like Buckethead did.

Damn, I wish we could get some REAL answers!

-What the hell happened in Philly.
-What is the release date for CD?
-What does the album cover look like?
-Does Axl sleep with a stuffed animal?

Ali

This "showing off" aspect of his playing that you're referring to, I feel, was the exact reason Axl brought him in. You have all sorts of people on here commenting on how versatile of a player he is andhis emotional work, all of that. I don't know 'cause I haven't checked out too much of his own stuff.

But his role in GNR was that of a stunt monkey, if you will. And the involvement that he had was out of his hands.

Ali and Jaz, I wasn't insulting Fortus. If he can play that BH solo. I would seriously want him to do it. BBF doesn't do it justice, and if Fortus can play it, let him. beer

« Reply #559 on: July 06, 2006, 09:54:12 AM »

if this is real then it seems pretty certain that cd will come out this year, if they are going to tour the U.S and release the album when they do that..

my only worry is that they play the states and finish a tour then release the album, that would just be dumb.
