To be honest while i was listening to it at the concert i thought i heard a backing track for the first time in a gnr concert., but i wasn't sure.....Yes now as other people mention it i think he really sang with a backing track....

Nope, no backing track. That's delay caused by Axl's mic's reverb, and it's probably bouncing off of the back wall.

that is no backing track just delay in the audio of the sound system, or from the recording. The quality isnt awesome some it could easily be the recording. Axl and the guys however sound amazing on the track! WOW this song rocks, I wasnt much of a fan of the leak but seeing a live video of it blows me away.

Well, its cool that it was so discussed. To chip my 2 cents into the new songs live debate, I think all the studio leaks sounded awesome but the Better and IRS suffer when played live. There Was A Time sounds awesome live though.

That opinion is just from the boots though - until I see them live thats all Ive got to go off

I like Axl's voice on this version. It's the best i've heard him sing it live so far. I just wish that Bumble could play Buckets solo properly at the end. That souless guitar geek shit he does fucking sucks ass.

You don't know that he isn't, he very well could be. I'm not saying he deffiantly is or is not but you have no way of knowing if he is.

YES i saw them live already. In '93 , in 2002 and this year in 2006 at graspop. IRS sucked big time. Just a stupid song IMO. If these are the kind of songs which are presumed to be the 'better' songs of Chinese Demcoracy, then the album will be a flop!! Nobody than hardcore GN'R fans will dig that shit.
The new songs I like so far:
- madagascar: best new song
- blues: good but the end of that song is awfull
- TWAT: very nice! (starts strange but it grows, and the more you listen to it...? )
- Better: mixed feelings. Like the internet leak more than the live version

and that's about it. IRS is just a really bad song? ,? Rhiad is ..I don't know..strange? , Oh My God sucked! Chinese Democracy: average, nothing special if you ask me.

Well, some of us do have background in this, but there's an easy way to tell.? Just compare the vocals between different live versions of it, if there was a backing track (that was loud enough to be audible), you'd hear the similar vocals on all the live versions - where the words and lyrics start at the exact same point in the song each time (as in, exactly the same).? And that's clearly not the case.....
