I am The Shackler in the Rye with Diamonds!!

« on: July 25, 2006, 05:49:16 AM »

Just thought I'd toss out an idea that I haven't see that much of: What do you think of Axl acting in movies or tv?  It's almost a trend for musicians to cross over from one to another; and Axl seemed to dig the acting gig when they filmed the "Trilogy"  Axl might decide to get into making movies and really up his exposure,  As long as he doesn't do the Surreal Life like Vince Neil (or any reality show) it might be cool...as long as he keeps on top of releasing music.

This would be a really bad idea. Apart from GNR fans, people hate Axl. The film world would give him a really bad time, even if he could act. Which I doubt he can, check out his 'acting' in the November Rain video, it's really embarassing. Keep to the singing I say... ok

Axl rose would prob NEVER do a reality show!  not a chance!  Maybe a cameo as himself in a movie (as in Dead Pool) - would be good though.

I think that if he would have any ambitions within the field of acting we would he seen it by now. So no. I don't think he's interested in doing it.

Yeah, summed up my opinions perfectly. Not to the guys discredit or anything - 99.9% of people look bad when they try and act, musicians included. Hes proved himself through music, no need to go into film.

He was interested many years ago, in the late 80s.  He did an interview where he said he'd like to try acting someday, maybe even write a screen play.  He said he had someone looking out for parts for him.
I'll try to find the interview...

I think he should try out for the Yankees.  They could use some fresh talent.  hihi

I think Axl would kick ass as an actor...I mean the dude is pretty intense...hook him up with Martin Scorsece and he'd kick ass.  That being said, I'd rather him focus on Guns; but if the oppurtunity knocked he should take it!

I don't know... you can see Axl acting a bit in the Evict Axl clip from YouTube.  I know it's just a contest commercial, but he wasn't very natural at all.

Since Baz is on Gilmore Girls perhaps he can have Axl make a special three episode appearance. He could date the mother and the daughter at the same time while they don't know anything about the other and end up getting one of them pregnant, he could play in the band that's on the show with Baz and be the backup singer with aspirations for the lead spot. Prime time tv at it's very best!!!
AXL ON GILMORE GIRLS!!!!! I will start a petition too!!!

Yeah, that clips just too funny, he looks so unnatural! Let the man just make records, that's what he's paid to do...I really don't want to see him thuring up on some shitty show like will and grace!  rofl

I thought Axl once tried to land a part in one of the Highlander films?

Someone send a memo to Axl telling him to make a note in his diary for 2016!  Tell him we've got it on good authority that that is a good year for acting Cheesy

Don't forget to mention that he only gets to act if he's a good boy and actually releases an album by then!

Axl could host SNL ...and every skit could be based on what he does every show when he runs off stage and why he's late rofl
