"This band isn't McDonalds, and it isn't Burger King. This isn't have it your way".

My math teacher always says that, but it got annoying, haha.  I guess if Axl said it i'd probably so full of energy at the concert i wouldn't care.

It's nice to see the band interacting with eachother and stuff, its really cool.  The 2002 vids i've seen they never acted like that.

Evolution...i think i might have saw you, were you near the front and centre?

I was at the start. Moved back because of the rough crowd. I had on a 2006 yellow GNR shirt with tourdates on the back and dark jeans?

Right, setlist as best as I can remember went like.

WTTJ, ISE, Brownstone, LALD, Better, Robin Solo, SCOM, KOHD, Dizzy Solo, The Blues, YCBM, Richard Solo into Beautiful, OTGM, Ron Solo(Don't Cry), Blues Jam, Nov Rain, Think About You, Used To Love Her, Patience and Nightrain all with Izzy.

Madagascar, Robin Solo and PC as an encore. Plus Ron had a solo in there before Izzy appeared.

Arrived at the SECC at around 6:30pm. Queue was quite large so Towers Of London started before I got inside. They ended with a punk cover of Freebird? Tongue As for BFMV, not my cup of tea.

The wait between BFMV and Guns was really hard. We are talking around 8:20 to 10:05 in boiling heat.

The orchestra music sounds so ominous in person, I love it. As Q mentioned crowd was mental in the pit so I moved back.

Random obvervations and highlights.

Ron had like a few mini braids in his hair which seemed to disappear.

Axl introduced Robin as "for our Scottish listening pleasure".

Axl attempted a Scots accent saying something like "Och aye goddamnit".

Izzy is like guitar god incarnate up there. One word I would use to describe seeing him there is respect. He just looks like someone you would never give cheek too. He was actually dancing a fair bit! Smiling like crazy, interacting with Robin and singing into Axl's mic.

Something cool to notice, during SCOM i think it was, Ron was doing a solo over by the left and Axl walked by and tapped him on the shoulder as he passed which made Ron smile and nod? ok

KOHD was a super long version and Nightrain blew the crowd away.

Ferrer is doing an excellent job up there, his intro to YCBM had a certain dancey tinge to it, and he was mucking around with Pittman a little, throwing fake punches.

Crowd didn't really recognize the leaks, I of course sang word for word! Tommy noticed I was the only guy singing in an area of the crowd and gave me a wink.

Crowd accepted GNR wholeheartedly, I heard many folk say how it was better than expected and how they thought Finck did a stand up job. We even clapped along to the jams! Glasgow fucking loved GNR.

Richard's solo went down very well where I was as did Ron's Don't Cry.

Axl told some guy to "go home, fuckhead. No-one is stopping you, you could catch a bus or something".

He also said "This band isn't McDonalds, and it isn't Burger King. This isn't have it your way".

Had my favourite gigging experience so far. Hearing the outro solo to PC, confetti flying everywhere whilst jumping up and down.

Right, well I've damn near written an essay! Enjoy the remainder of GNR's European tour all you folk attending? ok

Thanks,... but, excuse me,  I couldn't understand about   OTGM !....

Yeah I noticed that too Smiley Ron certainly appeared to appreciate the gesture from Axl.

I got in line at 3.50pm so I was at the front.

Towers were decent but the Free Bird cover was dreadful. BFMV were utter garbage too. I mean they have to be one of the worst bands Ive ever seen. There lead guitarist did the same guitar licks, unison bends, in every song. I mean come on!

Gnr came on at 10 like I expected. Overall it sounded ok.. i mean the SECC is famous for not being a great sounding venue. Compared to London which was 10/10, glasgow sound wise had to be only 6 or something.  It jus all sounds a bit to incoherrent at SECC!

The crowd were awesome, every rock band IVe seen in Glasgow has said us Scottish are mental. It was seriously rowdy!!

Ron had braids for the first 3 songs or so then next think i noticed they were gone!

Axl made some cool rants n remarks to us!

I can kinda understand some people getting tired of all the guitar solos n stuff.. i mean i understand the reasoning behind it but gnr have so many hits id rather be listening to the songs that didnt make the setlist!

Overall awesome gig but it didnt come close to London. London was just something else...

Last night's gig was amazing, probably the best I've ever seen ever. Definitely better than Dublin (which in itself was a terrific show!)
The setlist was surprising considering what I'd seen in the set in Sheffield and Newcastle, with Better and Maddy returning, esp Better, great performance!
Playing the big rock guns early on (WTTJ, Easy, SCOM, YCBM) got the crowd going fucking crazy, and the front area where I managed to get up to was a sweat pit and a half!
Seeing Izzy was great, he seemed to be having a great time, playing 5 tunes with the band.
The solos, esp Dizzy was well recieved with the Civil War tune, and Bumblefoots Don't Cry was brilliant also, got the crowd singing along! Couple of idiots during Robin + Richards solo shouting for Slash but they were in the minority.
The new guys were well appreciated by the crowd!

One main comment from Axl was when in the piano intro to NR he told someone to 'Go The Fuck Home', cant remember maybe cos of some Slash chant or something, but he took it in his stride. Also similar to Dublin (where he got an Irish flag) he tied a Scotland flag round himself during a song!

Can't wait for CD to come out and see them touring back here hopefully next year!

From my pics it's quite clear that I moved about often during the gig  Grin Getting to the front was the best though.
