Just to let everyone know, everything is finished except for the Buckethead Solo...

And I'm very interested to hear your version Voodoo! I played both Finck Solos like the Live Version because
1) I just can't get that feedback
2) The second solo has much more energy when Finck plays it live

I'm drooling with anticipation of this.  I've learned everything except a few parts of the Bucket solo from the regular written tab.  A Guitar Pro tab of it all would probably make me pee my pants with glee.

I second that.

now, there's really only Bucket's part left, every other part is done... I hope there are some drummers out there, i tabbed every single part of the drums, and by listening over and over, I realized how great Brian (or Josh, whoever recorded it) is...   ok
If all goes well, I think it will be ready on Friday...

Cool, being a drummer by trade I really can't wait to see the drum parts too!

I had heard it was actually a drum machine on the recording, not sure about the truth to that though.

Well, in the recording process, nowadays real drums are almost never used in the final cut. A drummer, no MATTER who you are or who it is, is NEVER perfectly consistent with each hit of the drums. A lot of times it's a sample mixed with other samples. I learned all this yesterday, I had to record a lead track for the band Leo.

By the way, Lipfel, I'm looking forward to Friday, it's when my Gibson Les Paul standard gets back from the repair shop (Cracked headstock at the neck, FUCKING CATS)

But I still got me good ol' Custom! beer

live drums are used in recordings, im a producers. sometimes they are mixed with samples, but u dont want to use all samples, b/c with each hit of a real snare, the sound is different, each crash hit sounds different.

when u use only samples, everything sounds the same and everything sounds programmed. trust me, guns will have live drums on CD, maybe some samples here n there.

Thanks everybody for your comments!  Cheesy

Sorry, but I'm not really interested in tabbing this whole thing again in Powertab... Do yourself a favor and look for a way to get Guitar Pro, it's definitely worth it!  Wink
