Its just a matter of doing whats appropriate and whats not appropriate. Throwing anything on stage is in appropriate. GNR isn't the most stable band already, they dont need something caused by a fan to set them off. Another example was posting the pre sale password back in May. It's one thing if GNR fucks up, plug gets pulled on the tour, someone quits, Axl fires everyone, etc .... we can't control that, but we can control our own actions when they are available to play and we are able to see them. Im sure they dont need problems caused by fans to add to the pressure of just getting throw the tour.
Agreed. But the crowds who attend in the UK will be similar to those who go to football matches and go and see bands like Oasis.
Groups of fat tattooed skinhead lads who once heard Paradise City and who are going along to drink 10 pints, grope girls and chuck stuff around.
I went to see the Wildhearts in Leeds a few years ago and someone chucked a pint glass at the singer Ginger. He then stopped the gig (which was live on Radio 1 at the time) and refused to carry on playing until the culprit had been caught.
There are morons in every country. We've just got a lot of them here.
