Really?...Ive never heard of a helmet being a hair killer, but I guess the same principles would apply.

I only know about the hat thing, becauae last Fall I got in the habit of wearing one of those beenie/hat things that Bam Margera often wears, and occasionally if Im having a bad hairday these days Ill throw it on, but then it's like "Hmmm...no more bad hair day...or no more hair in the future..."

yupp.. my mom told me that once i think... so i never weard a hat again! boy, thats many years ago! hehe...

I'm so blessed with the experience my family has with hair, my mother's father never lost his hair in his life before he died, I got thick wavy hair. The way to tell if you go bald is to see if your mother's father lost his or not.

I started growing mine from short last august, but cut it all off by april.  Basically it had already gone too far back at the front (if that makes sense).  Fucking genes 

I guess you'll just have to have short hair, but there's still stuff you could do to it.  Personally I think when it starts to really go I'll shave it all off.  Maybe grow a beard to make up for the lack of hair on top

Combover opened a hard rockin' show that included 10 Minute Warning (featuring Duff McKagan from some big multi selling has been rock band that used to be cool before they started making long winded songs & videos that were reminiscent of Paul McCartney & Wings songs,) and this other little band you may have heard of called Gas Huffer.  In my totally biased opinion, Combover ruled the rock & roll roost that day.  These photos only tell half the story, but they give you a good idea of just how much these guys embody real rock & roll!

There's lots of stuff you can try man.  Propecia, Nioxxin, Saw Palmetto, Shampoos.  Different things work for different people.  My advice is to start as soon as you see you are losing your hair.  I was losing mine but I think I've pretty much stopped it through the use of Propecia, Saw Palmetto, and good shampoo.  You can always have a hair transplant if all else fails!

Most people in our family have pretty reasonable hair till a very respectable age, and being 26 I?m very happy with mine. However it always fascinated me how many guys suddenly can go bald. Luckily, my uncle is a Trichologist, which is a certain branch in dermatology specialized in hair.

He once broke the whole deal down to me:

According to him, the ?wearing a hat makes you bald? -concept is plain and utter bullshit. Androgenetic alopecia, or Male pattern baldness, is caused by male hormones or androgens. Every hair on your head initially has 25 cycles of 4 years each, before it will seize to exist (under normal circumstances). So a person totally free from hair loss, has for a 100 years of hair.? However under the influence of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a biologically active metabolite of the hormone testosterone, your hair can and will move in fast-forward-mode through its cycles. So instead of having 25 cycles of 4 years, some people will have 25 cycles of maybe 1 month or even less. This is what you see happening to people who gradually loose their hair.

Anywayzz, he said that a few drugs out there have shown significant results in stopping hair loss (finasteride and Dustaride), by regulating DHT-levels. The only thing that people need to understand is that hair that?s gone will never grow back, so the sooner you start the more you could gain from it.

It's more of an indicator he said.

If your mother's father started going bald at a young age, there's a reasonable chance you will be affected by it too.

However it's no rule and research indeed has shown that your own father can also have a major impact.

I'm balding in the front at 22.  Partially, it's because I really like wearing hats, partially bad genes, and partially the stress of having majored in journalism.

I'm planning on shaving it all off someday and just wearing at hat as I always do already.

I'm actually considering giving it the full chop right now.

4 years ago ( i think, times flies by), all of a sudden and for no reason, i started having bad headaches, an itchy scalp and my scalp started to ache really bad.
Then, i develloped what seemed like scars ?
My hair was falling outn i would brush it and i would have so much of my hair in the brush that i would end up in tears. I would pass my hand through my hair and it was the same.If i shook my head, hair fell off ?

I went to the skin emergency hospital near paris and they gave me a treatment ?

It calmed down, but i kept loosing some for the 6 months afterwards.

Some of it grew back since, but not all.

Im 23 and its falling out, but im going to Bosley for a transplant in about 2 weeks, it takes the transplanted grafts about 6-8-10 months to fully grow, so i ll be 24 when its all grown in.? I did alot of research and its the only permanent solution, there were 2 main companies, Medical Hair Restoration and Bosley, after meeting with both Bosley is my choice, their alittle more expensive, but you want this done right.  If anyone had a transplant please share what it was like, and how it grew in.
