Nobody knows anything until management announces it.  We've been down this road with noname companies advertising CD.

HMV are not a no-name company. They're one of the largest entertainment vendors in Europe.

I don't believe HMV has a date yet, considering a date hasn't been set.

But they could of been informed that something from GNR is on the way.

If you digg in this forum you should find a scan or two of previous flyers from hmv from a long time ago with the date on them. This leads me to believe they are wishfully thinking once again but we'll see.

I remember that HMV once had the new GN'R album listed for October 1996, so I wouldn't take it too seriously...

Its something different and will be a big surprise

« Reply #18 on: July 12, 2006, 06:56:56 PM »

atleast it falls on a tuesday!

Actually I think that Sept is the month{for something} heres why....

The tour ends at the end of this month. This gives Axl 2-3 weeks to finish the album and send it in.

They have that California gig at the end of September. That will in all likely hood be the launch of Chinese Democracy.

Im expecting atleast the single to be out sometime in Sept. Album to follow in October.

If we get real lucky we will have the single end of Aug and album end of Sept.

Waiting for Promised Land....

« Reply #19 on: July 12, 2006, 07:04:09 PM »

I think that the album won't be out until November or December, unfortunately.

I think that there is work to be done on the album, at least as far as the tracklist, mastering, perhaps some mixing.  I hope there is no more recording left to be done Smiley

I think/hope these issues will be addressed in August when the band returns from Europe.  I guess we'll see.  Hopefully that update of the website Richard Fortus mentioned in an e-mail will contain information on the album.

We can only pray  hihi
