Sounds like another great gig then! This tour seems to be getting better and better! I wander if we are any closer to getting some more UYI tunes played? What with the ongoing instrumental of Dont Cry, now a crowd chanting for Civil War! Bring it on! Mike

At one point the crowd is chanting for Civil War. Axl jokes about it, like he's misunderstanding what they're chanting for.

Damn you Axl  Cry  peace

Damn the people who chanted that they didn't need a "civil war" hihi

Let's not damn anyone, it is just music.  I wonder if Izzy gets the itch to play on all the Appeitite songs and not just 3 of them.  It would be interesting to know if he wants to play the entire show, or if he just wants to play 3 songs.

Then you might as well have Izzy as a new guitarist.

i think it's pretty fucking funny....he's prolly like....man you people are stupid bastards aren'tcha, we're not gonna play that stuff...

he should say something like "so you guys wants some UYI tunes?" then he'll get like a massive cheer "oh well go buy the cds then" hihi

I'd say it was more like, "why would you want a Civil War in Greece," do you know many people would die? What do you guys need to fight against?". hihi

« Reply #49 on: July 10, 2006, 07:25:04 PM »

just came back from the show and here are some quick notes:

during the end of kohd axl said that for the first time in several years he wanted to do the crowd response thing. so they finished the song by switching to the old version ok

izzy played and sang patience with axl and he also played pc+nightrain

bumblefoot played the entire don't cry and the people sang along for the whole song

the crowd was going crazy and axl said that he was very much into it.

the band playd and axl sang the first verse and chorus of light my fire.this started as a game between the drummer and the crowd-the drummer would play something and the crowd would scream guns n roses.after a while the basse and the guitar kick in for a jam which wnds as light my fire

axl was in an excellent mood and he even held a greek flag in the end

Robin came out for his solo wearing a bandana a white jacket and a skirt-just like axl

overall a+show a+Axl

i was blown away literally ok

"if only you knew who the fuck i think i am.."

Could this also be a reference to the recently released Replacements comp, "Don't You Know Who I Think I Was"?

When did Axl say this at the show? At what point? Who did he say it to? the crowd? To Tommy?

Many big thanks again to Jarmo, anythinggoes, and all who have had been sending updates. I check everyday for every show. Thank you!!!
