in the 15 or so years since the last album, axl has only released live era and oh my god, one original peice of material, in the mean time slash has guessed on albums released two if you include 5 o clock when he was in the band, duff has released one of his own albums, recorded another that want released was also in neurotic outsiders and loaded, sorum was also in neurotic, izzy has released his own albums, so has gilby, dizzy has another band even adler has!!!plus slash, duff and matt have the whole VR thing going on released one album and working on the follow up!!!

my question is if his heart and passion is in music why hasnt he released anything at all??i mean a solo album or two couldnt be so hard...its not as if he needs to prove nothing??

he has just sat around coming up with ideas for CD, some of which we probaly wont ever hear!!

Dont use the "appetite for destruction didnt take 15 years" bullshit argument, axl has admitted himself that he's found it very hard making the new record, AFD was almost 20 years ago, back then they were basically just a group of kids fucking around, this is different.

If a bunch of junked up 'kids' can make the greatest album of all time relatively quickly then Axl has no excuse for his belated new cd. People say 'Oh but the songs were all written years ago and now all hes doing is tweaking etc' - then thats even less of an excuse Id say. But then he always has been a bit of a 'tweaker'.

It seems obvious that his heart isnt in it or it wouldnt be taking so long and the results that we have heard so far would be a little more impressive. I mean Silkworms, Rhiad and all that shite. Cmon Axl, the Beatles career could happen twice or three times in the years its taken for you to try and get this new album together.

If his heart was really in the music then he'd have been releasing solo cds since Slash et al left instead of riding on the name of a band that realistically ended in about 1993. He could have got on with his Industrial project and everyone wouldve been happy. The GNR name is still out there only because he knows it can make big bucks, and that, to me, doesnt represent the music, just money grabbing and disrespect for his fans intelligence.

If he or his band dont have the required chemistry to make sponteneous excellent music then he is fucked, 15 years 100 years wont change that.

but it took fuckin more than 15years of life experiences for them all to relate to and put in their music. something you cant just make up.

then that statement makes it more apparent that CD should be out quicker, or fuel him more to write more stuff anbd put it out after what he went through with the split, and the court cases!!!its not obvius at all or something would have been put out sooner.it sounds like he goes to the studio and records when he can be bothered

it might seem like he cant be bothered but i know from expierience you cant just sit down and write a song... well ok, you can, but you cant write a proper song. everything i do is music, if im not making it, im listenin to it, if im not doin either, im thinkin about it... i can not write a song for weeks, because of how uninspired i am at the time, and next thing i know, il be sat at my computer and il write a song in the afternoon and then spend the rest of the week tweaking it... same goes for the next song.
it might even happen just with a beat, or a guitar riff, vocal idea or melody. you just cant say 'im going to write an album this month', it doesnt happen. a true album cant happen.

so how does my statement suggest that CD should have been released sooner?

things cant be made just because of a contract or a release date, if you feel the music, you know when its ready for people to listen to. not when your told people have to listen to it.
