Anyone know which performances had the best versions of IRS and Better, can you please tell me? (A link would be nice too Tongue)

I have yet to hear a good live recording of either IRS or Better  no so far none of this years recordings have matched the recordings from Rio2002 and Boston 2002. There's still many shows to go, so here's hoping  beer

I have no idea what GnR were thinking when slowing down The Blues. The Blues played during Rio2002 was faster and clearer. The Blues played now in 2006 sounds like a recorded being played at the wrong speed. I guess the really important issue is, what will the album version sound like? will there be more than 1 version of any of the songs on CD? maybe so  beer

I strongly disagree...

I hope for the slower version (2002 or 2006), but really no one knows but Axl... I'm still hoping for a box set with a bunch of different versions of all the songs... Oh well, I can dream, can't I?

I guess the only time we'll see a box set is when Axl kicks the bucket and the recorded company cashes in and releases year in and year out newly discovered GnR material from the deep dark vaults  hihi  they'll have a field day with the 1000's of versions of CD  hihi

Pittsburgh 2002 The Blues are the best.  I can't believe Axl took out the introductory guitar......lame sauce.

I like the piano intro, IMO it gives the song a more classic sound

Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

I love the new version of Blues: makes the song alot sadder and heartfelt.

I've got to give Boston a second chance...because I've only seen it on YouTube, I'm guessing the video doesn't do the soundboard any justice.

I'd like to add that Tommy's bass is incredible in this song.
