Well well well, for a great news, that's one !!!

Let's hope for a nice and well put package, something to bury those infamous Illusions DVD's ... (no bonus, no interviews, no extra-footage, no nothing)

Great !

besides the fact that there is interviews.......at least there on DVD!!? ? Shocked Shocked Shocked

By 'no interviews' I meant it was the same old bullshit with the japanese subtitles between songs that were on the VHS. You can't really say those DVD's were amazing no

did you ever think for a second those cameras where there mainly to film for the JUMBO screens we where watching durring the show? The cameras guys don't know shit - don't forget that. No matter what they say or what they're told, at the end of the day they don't know shit - especially with Axl Rose involved....Those DVD's aren't EVER going to come out. We can only hope for a bootleg one day.

I work in media, radio not TV although i have friends in TV....
I was at the 17th show and they filmed me, well, the filmed my Guns N Roses tattoos,? the thing is I never signed a release.

Usually when you are doing some type of recording you need to get release forms from everyone....or there has to be some posting in the arena/club regarding the filiming of the show....Ozzfest did this,? and the Real World and those type shows get release forms from passerby or the blur them out...

In Tokoyo they had posting that the show was being taped for release....I read this somewhere.....

anyway, did anyone get a release form???

this is very true.  release forms are a must.  I work in a business where without release forms and copys of valid ID, you can spend 10 years in prison.  ok

According to some posters, the footage shot at the NYC show was only used as "practise"....

I don't know what film company, especially one based in New York, would need four days of "practice"...

Well, I seem to remember reading it somewhere....

Apparently they'll be filming in Europe as well.

But some other people were asked to give permission: http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board/index.php?topic=30539.0

I know some people were actually asked to give a verbal release on camera at the NYC shows.  I was standing next to someone who did just that....but I was also standing next to someone who they interviewed who was NOT asked.

So, there ya go...

« Reply #75 on: May 25, 2006, 08:39:03 AM »

I heard a couple people say that they offered their release "on video" with a statement like "I hereby offer Guns n' Roses my full consent for this footage to be used on the upcoming DVD" Keep in mind, I didn't hear anyone say this DIRECTLY to a cameraperson - I just heard people in line mention it.

I work in Intellectual Property and Licensing. I was there on the 17th as well, but not interviewed or anything.

I also know about the right of privacy and publicity laws. I understand and respect those laws and everything.

BUT C'MON-even if I was on camera, I'm a GNR fan to the bone, as you are too. I would give anything to be on camera and to have it released. In this context, I'll waive every stinkin right I have.

Weigh the options: Ultimate braggin rights and solid proof you were there versus not allowing your likeness to be used for a commercial DVD because no release was signed.

Tis' better to give than receive. End of story.

I'm reading this off the back of one of my Red Sox tickets but is there anything on the tickets that say something similar to "The holder grants permission to the Boston Red Sox and the other participating clubs and their agents to utilize holder's image or likeness incidental to any live or recorded video display or other transmission or reproduction in whole or in part of the event to which this ticket admits them."
