Howdy folks,

I was able to speak with two of the camera guys at the NYC show on the 17th (some of you near the front of the line might have seen them hanging out with the leggy blond reporter  Wink ).  My brother and I were in the front row of mezz 1, right next to the VIP area where they were.  What they told us was that they were shooting a practice run before they head to Europe with the band for those shows, from which they plan to cull together and release a DVD.  Whether it will be simply a DVD from one night's performance or from a series of performances they didn't say, but I just wanted to let you gents & ladies know that there will be an official DVD release of GnR live performances from this year.   ok

Yeah I was up at the front asking her to show us her tits. ?At any rate, the camera crew was brought in by Fink from his connections from the NIN days - apparently the guy had gotten to know him through NIN, hung around and Fink suggested the filming idea to Axl. ?Axl said "Film it and we'll see what happens" - they're documenting everything, but whether it'll actually see the light of day is questionable. ?I offered the guy $1000 cash right out of my pocket and he said he wouldn't leak any of it. ?I was sort of bummed. ?Anyone that was up in the front of the line can back me up on that.

dammit, i was hopin they would release the May 12th show on DVD, no matter how the performance was, it was the biggest specatcle in music in the last 3 years and it definately should be documented.

I meant that they should have planned on documenting it in advance, no matter how the performance would turn out, and if they'd done that, theyd've gotten a damn good show on dvd

Thanks for passing on the info, but I wouldn't get too excited just yet about a possible dvd release. I mean, the first Vegas show was supposed to be released on dvd and here we are five years later with nothing. Hopefully it will be different this time around though.

I think its "yes" and "no".

Yes, it obviously was planned as practicing.
But no, they won't refuse to release Hammerstein-parts, if material looks good.

So, as the concerts weregreat, I wouldn't worry.
