Does this look infected?

Does this seem weird to anyone else? I mean bands usually release a DVD after their tour is over. Now, if they are going on a tour of the U.S. this fall and releasing the album that means they'll likely be playing all the new songs from the album on the U.S. tour, so wouldn't it make more sense to film one of those shows instead of one like today where they only played 3 new songs, although 2 weren't really "new" since they played them in 2002.

Or, maybe they are going to release a DVD with a lot of different stuff in it, not just one show. Like a tour-story kind of a thing, where the cameras are following the band, the fans, and there's some interviews on it and some live material from the tour, from different gigs and so on.. And maybe a full show also ok
Just dreaming here..

Shit, Axl could've been documenting GN'R's process for the last 13 years, for all we know. That would make for a kick ass DVD.

I've read on another forum that there were rumors about a 874 DVD's Box-set documenting the making of Chinese Democracy. ok

The news of a live DVD is great, yeah particularly based on 'the big comeback'...but fuckin oath like Guns N' Neurosis said, if there is archived material from all the stages of Chinese Democracy, that would be great to see even as a short extra or a bonus or something (hell i'm sure if the video was available they could make a dvd out of that alone)..just to see how it progressed over the years with the different producers and contributors and what Axl was really thinking and planning or whatever etc

Maybe all the different versions of the songs? From when they started up until the release.

Alanis Morrisette did something different with the live DVD of her Jagged Little Pill tour (yeah, I know, get over it). They filmed virtually every concert which started as a small club gig and ended as a huge outdoor stadium tour with all the visual spectacles. As the concert progressed on the DVD with each song, the venue changed as did the "theatrics" of the show.

Would be interesting if GN'R made a DVD in this fashion...the evolution of the Chinese Democracy tour 2006  ok

That wud be great! Although i think they'd just take the best performance of each song over the four shows and put it out like that.
