i got seat for both these shows tried to get standing ticket each time... also seat in stockholm... but standing twice in oslo!  8)hopefully standing in rock in rio-lisbon too! if i manage to get there! damn i need money  i prefer to stand on gnr shows :-/

Just a few days until the first Helsinki gig. Only one more concert standing between me and GNR. I am not going to deny that I have been following this European tour with a small fear in my stomach that something might go wrong again and they will cancel. Hell, I don't think a long time Guns N' Roses can be very optimistic! But an incident in Donnington and another in Stockholm is all we have gotten, and otherwise everything has been smooth and great. (Of course, if one was a little in the slow side and didn't know the agenda of those about a dozen negative writers on this board, one could think that the whole tour has been a catastrophy and Axl should be locked in like Hannibal Lecter, but luckily I'm not THAT slow.) I'm still not saying 100% that my and the band's paths are finally gonna cross in Hartwall Areena, but I'd give it a 98,5 already.

I wrote on some other thread a story about the date almost exactly 15 years ago when my friends took off to see GNR in Helsinki, and I didn't go for whatever reason. That traumatized me so that I can still remember way too much about the whole day! Then in 2001 I was first in line to get a ticket when the new band was coming to Finland - and then they cancelled. Five years later I got tickets to two shows...

I started in a new job two weeks ago, not really knowing about my working shifts and stuff like that. I only had decided that I am going to see GNR on both days, no matter what. If I have to take days off without pay, that's what I'll do. If they won't allow that and say I should be here or there at that time or they fire me, then that's it, fire me. I am going to see Guns N' Roses two days in a row.

But things have a way of working out, and sometimes they work out so well it's just amazing. I live in a town more than 150 km from Helsinki and Hartwall Areena which makes travelling to the shows in the middle of the week possible but somewhat of a bitch considering the hours that Axl shows up on stage and the fact that I don't have a car. But guess what, the new workplace sent me to training for three weeks - to Helsinki. They pay me a hotel room in the city centre. I don't have to travel. I see the first gig, have a few hours of sleep in my free hotel room, and sharply at 8 AM I am back in training. The second gig that night, and at work again on Friday morning. No travelling, no costs, no inconveniences of any kind. Sometimes I truly believe that there is a higher power guiding us.

I am willing to send SMS updates from the show although I know my girlfriend is going to bitch about that in the arena. "You should just enjoy the show, put the phone away!" So if there are no others to update from Helsinki (maybe someone who has free SMS's or have them included in some sort of a pay package), I'll do it.

hell fuckin' yeah.. thank god that bfmv cancelled so shitty band.. in my opinion saw them opening for metallica in tallinn and I really don't care to see them again
So now it's either a better opening act or a longer set for GNR

I'm going to Hartwall Areena somewhere around 10 - 11.00 and the doors are supposed to open at 18.30 and I don't know which one this means, the opener or gnr but it says 20.00

OMG! Are you me?!?!?!? That?s pretty much the story of my life too? i also bought ticket to Stockholm gig (2002?)...so i know how you must feel right now. I bought ticket to both shows too? (also had a ticket to Ruisrock to see VR last summer...)
