I signed up just to post lyrics!

I was thinking- why don't we get a singer, have him fix our lyrics to something he can sing, then release an album? Then we might end up touring with GnR, all six hundred of us. 

Anyway here are a couple songs (I guess it'd be more appropriate to call them "sets" of lyrics) I've been fiddling with over the past two days:

I think everyone here has good stuff. I kinda get into the habit of writing, once I start, so I hopefully I will have a lot of songs. Then over time I can work on them more, and that will give me pleasure.
It's like what they say about writers- they don't have to be published to be called that!
And who knows, maybe someone will like one of our lyric sets and make a song out of it, and then the ultimate- hearing your lyrics being sung on the radio  Stranger things have happened, and it's very cathartic to express yourself, even if it's only to yourself, I find.

Here is a song that I have written about unanswered love. When I had been together with this girl, and I broke up. And later on, she didn?t want me back......life sucks in a beautiful kind of way. =) Please tell me whatcha think.



Command and Conquer.

They told it on the morning news today, there was a storm coming.
There was a storm, and it was heading my way, it was headlining my stage tonight.
The storm came quicker than I?d ever expect. Never thought they would be so right.
So right, oh, so right.
I turned on the fire inside my sordid heart and built myself some sturdy walls, to keep the rain at bay. But as always, all the reasons why, always tend to simply burn and fade away.

And the earth is quaking, my legs are shaking, not knowing the words to say.
Now, my walls are crumbling. And I?m still stumbling, like a blind man without his cane.
If you could take it, just to bend and break it. You always slammed the door and walked away.

For better or worse. Affection and delusion is found inside every naked human soul.
The troops have you surrounded, my captain is yelling, my lieutenant is smiling.
There will be no prisoners taken, just victory or death.

It is though, the way you say things like "Why the hell was I fuckin' born" and "The Dark Side makes it fucked and crappy". Those kind of lines always make me laugh, mabey if you made the poem more sad rather than angry you'd get your point across better (This is just my opinion? ) Good luck?
