Here is the deal...there is a guy I have dealt with on ebay...His first name is Scott....I will not divulge his last name but the guy has a ton of GNR dvd's...I have gotten the 1988 RITZ show in 1stgen off the master from him...I have gotten the axl/tom petty 1989 MTV VMA's in 1st gen off the master from him...I have gotten the 1989 performance of patience at the american music awards, 1988 mtv's and 1988 fox late show performances in 1st gen from this guy..........Apparently this guy worked for MTV (his story) and he swiped some archival footage of GNR...he claims to own the Axl Kurt Loder 1992 interview in its entirety unedited (1 hour) He claims to have other never aired footage of GNR also.....Hesays he will only sell the DVD for like 800 dollars......Now I do not agree with selling this footage when it should be shared but maybe the 2,000 plus members of this site can put something together to free these interviews up,.....I am sure other peple on this site have dealt with this guy also.....

Yes his name is Scott Hopkins (he doesnt mind me saying that i heard). He has most stuff that ever aired on mtv. He was responsable for the CBGBs concert leaking not so long ago becuase a deal went wrong or something. His username here is Velvet1223. He has loads of stuff. He even sent me screenshots of a few things one time. He is also obviously one of the biggest hoarders of gnr material in the world.

What did you do to get these videos from him? Maybe you can do it again. If you have these 1gens, are thay better quality then those that we have on dvd now? would be awesome to have ritz in super quailty.

I offered him 500 bucks for the unaired stuff and he said NO which I was shocked...........He doesnt have any audio recordings only video from what I have heard.........

Yea he has loads. Though just to repeat what the previous guy asked. Aer the gen1's he gave you any better than the ones we have out there at the minute? There bound to be.....

he told me a few weeks ago that he had the 2002 vma rehearsals and i asked how much he was selling for and he said this..
"put it this way, i've been offered 900 dollars and i rejected."
so i said "what about 1000 bucks"
and he said "now your talking"
i wasnt going to give up 1000 bucks for this but was just curious to see what he was all about.. i asked him about house of blues, says he doesnt have that..

Again FYI:? The footage that the got guy that started this topic came from dvds that I had bought off of ebay and then turned around and re sold.? None of that stuff came from MTV.? All of the MTV stuff is kept for trades.? However, I don't even trade anymore.? IN fact, I only traded w/ a few people like a year ago.? In fact, the only reason I am on here snooping around is because I like to watch the links of the 2006 footage.? ?
