I've seen em three times and I can honestly say that one show would be absolute top of my list, one hovering outside my top 10 and one stuck in lower midway.

I guess that's what makes Guns so appealing - you never know what you're going to get.

Your thoughts?

The Dublin gig was probably my fave and I've been to about a dozen gigs I think

I saw GNR for the first time at Wembley Stadium in 1991.

I was 15 years old and this was my first 'major' gig. I remember turning the corner at Wembley and see more people than I'd ever see in my life, all waiting to go into the stadium.

The whole day totally blew my mind, and has always been an experience I always measure other gig's against. Some have come close, but none have ever beat seeing the band for the first time.

 ok

Best show I ever saw was the Freddie Mercury Tribute but lets face it that is a hard one to beat.  Best Guns N Roses gig I ever saw was an early one.  I saw them at the Roxy in 1986 and they were so powerful they just blew me away.

The #1 gig I have ever seen was Frank Sinatra May 12, 1994 in Atlantic City.  The May 12th GNR concert is pretty close, but the Frank show is unbeatable.

Hmm, good question..

Saw them in '87 opening for The Cult, great show.  A top 5 for sure.

Saw them again in Oklahoma City circa UYI era, not even in the top 50.

I saw them in Brooklyn at L'Amours in October of 1987 a couple days before Halloween...Badass...What would become the biggest band in the world playing in some small club and having the time of their life..........ALso in December 1991 at Madison Square Garden which was odd without Izzy and Axl ranting and raving th entire show......and July of 1992 with Metallica and Faith No More at Giants Stadium was radical cuz Faith No More is my fav band....Mike Patton taunting the New Jersey crowd about Jimmy Hoffa and making fun of Sprinsgteen and oen of the few shows on that tour that went off without any problems

I'm with you, PTU.  Although, I didn't see them quite as early as you, the show in 1988 when they opened for Aerosmith was my favorite so far.  They were raw and powerful!  drool

The shows in the early 90's were pretty high on my list too and Philly bottomed out.  Tongue

I never got to see them when gnr was around, I saw them in 02 then a bunch of times at hammerstein.... Great shows but not my favorites

Vr at jones beach was fucking awesome as was metallica at msg in 97 ,those are the two for me that ranked better... if it was afd guns I know it would have been better, 02-06 I only wanted to see axl, the other concerts I wanted to see more people so that's why it helped make it better

PTU that's fucking awesome

Very high for me (was in Dublin on 9th June), probably just behind Queen plus Paul Rodgers gig at Hyde Park (very emotional show just after London bombings and they played great) and Iron Maiden too as they had a great stage show plus Bruce Dickinson is a great showman.
But Glasgow in 3 weeks may move them higher up the list!

chicago 92 is next to impossible to top, MAYBE Pearl Jam at Soldier Filed in 95 was better, Metallica on the Load tour in Chicago Jan 97 was in my top 5 too...

Hmm... tough question. Haven't been to that many concerts.

But Iron Maiden at Globen, Stockholm, Sweden 1999 could be my favorite. GNR at the same arena two days ago is of course on my top 5-list  ok

Guns at Werchter '93: best show I have ever seen in my life!

2nd best: Metallica '93 '00 '03
3rd: AC/DC '96
4rd: U2 '05
5th: Coldplay '03
...
Top 10: Black Sabbath ('98), Aerosmith ('94), Sepultura ('95), REM ('95, '99, '01), David Bowie ('97)

guns '02 ==> freakshow, maybe in my top 100
guns '06 >> normal, sometimes boring (solo's), top 100 definitely
