I know there has to be one person out there who agrees with me.

For those of you who continually refer to the GN'R Live record as" Live Era", please consider this:

GUNS N' ROSES LIVE ERA '87 - '93

Say the above with the colors representing pauses like they were intended on the packaging.

The above is to accurately show you that "LIVE" and "ERA" do not go together. I've heard over and over, "What band doesn't have a live era?" That's not the point. The people who keep saying "Live Era" are the ones that do the confusing. The two disc set has nothing to do with seperating GN'R's time from the studio to the stage. It's a "Live" record, with the 1987-1993 era of the band playing. Live Era suggests that GN'R had a studio only era. That's not the intention. As you can clearly see, the colors seperate the words that go together. The record should simply called "Live" for those who like to shorten it. By calling it "Live Era", it would be similar to calling

Guns N' Roses Live At The Hammerstein, "Live At"

The record was obviously made to allow any post 1999 recordings to be on a follow-up "Live" record, perhaps called

GUNS N' ROSES LIVE ERA '01 - '07

It's the same as Van Halen Greatest Hits Volume One, which indicates there will be a Volume Two. There is no A without a B.

Some people would be going "Live Era 2?" No, read again. Anyways, this has always been a pet peeve of mine. I don't mean to offend anyone, although no doubt people will be pissed off. Someone has to agree, no? "Live Era" is totally out of context.

I'm just saying, that's why the color of wording of the title is different. People that say "Live Era" give the wrong context of what the title of the album is all about. I wasn't bashing anyone, I'm just sure that most are accustomed to saying "Live Era" and never knew the wiser. It's indeed Guns N' Roses... Live... Era '87 - '93. "Era" belongs with " '87 - '93", not "Live". It's pretty simple. I just wanted to point that out and all I got was flamed for it.

So in a nutshell, what you're saying is that its:

Guns N' Roses Live: Era '87-'93,

Not

Guns N' Roses: Live Era '87-'93?

Pretty smart, never saw it that way!

Yes. Everyone, go grab your cd case and take a look for yourself. The title was colored differently for a reason. Saying "Live Era" is totally out of context. Here is what my case says:

Guns N' Roses

Live

Era '87 - '93

"Live" and "Era" are two totally different colors because they don't go together.

It actually would have been clearer if they had called it Guns n' Roses Live 87-93, and ditched 'era' entirely. A problem like that should have been picked up in the cover design period.

he might me on to something, even if it wishful thinking, that's a good point.
era 87 -93, and hopefully something else now.

live era doesn't even make a whole lotta sense together, cuz then u'd think that's the only period the band played live. there were lot's of live performances after. that was just one period. hopefully we'll see more "live" albums from gn'r, from different eras!
