the song that most people think of when they think of gnr is WTTJ

the song i think represents them well is rocket queen. its a kickass song with one of my favorite bass lines ever. also it is my favorite outro. the last 2 minutes are one of the greatest 2 minutes in rock imo.

this must be a song that involves either their best or your favourite band members at their very best!! it must contain the attributes of guns N'Roses!! i believe that it must have a good riff with raw lyrics! so it is probably gonna have to be... You could be mine...but i could go on for ever!! i was also wondering "wot do you think is the guns n roses attempt at stairway", if you think that they have one? i think that it is estranged!!!!!!

No song defines the recorded band. They touched on every style of rock n roll over thier recording career. That's why they were the best.

I think that although WTTJ is the song that best encompasses everything to do with GNR, the real song that deifnes them is SCOM.  Great musicianship, vocals, lyrics, not to mention its probably the most played song by GNR on the radio.

Pretty Tied Up.

"Once there was this rock n roll band, rolling on the streets.... time went by it became a joke, we just need more and more fulfilling uh-huh, time went by and it all went up in smoke!"

I don't think any song defines guns n' roses. thats the whole idea. its like what song defines the beatles? you'll get 100 different answers. not to say gn'r is the beatles, but you get what i mean.

The lyrics in "Pretty Tied Up" best define GNR. It's basically their autobiography and a foretelling of what was to come. Izzy must've had a crystal ball when he wrote that song.

But overall I'd say "Welcome to the Jungle."

Jungle for me, it's just the whole package!

The lyrics, signifying the coming of a young guy from Indiana to the big city, kinda representing GN'R coming out of the small clubs to becoming the biggest band in the world.

The music, Slash's riff is just so fucking good!  ok

And there is just so much energy and passion in the song, but it retains a pop sensibility, It's just an awesome song and always to me is the one song that defines GN'R!

yeah thats true, but nighttrain has all this aswell.
and yeah, i agree witht eh 'stairway attept' at estranged, i thoguht of estranged before i read what you said. if any of their songs had to be classed a sthat it would estranged anyway, but i dont liek to class it in that way lol fekin uber song thoguh ^.^ =P same goes for nightrain.
