"The fuckin fighting Irish"-Axl 9/6/06

« on: June 25, 2006, 05:45:15 PM »

this must be a song that involves either their best or your favourite band members at their very best!! it must contain the attributes of guns N'Roses!! i believe that it must have a good riff with raw lyrics! so it is probably gonna have to be... You could be mine...but i could go on for ever!! i was also wondering "wot do you think is the guns n roses attempt at stairway", if you think that they have one? i think that it is estranged!!!!!!

Jungle for me, it's just the whole package!

The lyrics, signifying the coming of a young guy from Indiana to the big city, kinda representing GN'R coming out of the small clubs to becoming the biggest band in the world.

The music, Slash's riff is just so fucking good!  ok

And there is just so much energy and passion in the song, but it retains a pop sensibility, It's just an awesome song and always to me is the one song that defines GN'R!

I'll put in a vote for 'Jungle' not because its my favorite song (that vote goes to 'Coma'), but because i think it really signifies what the band was about

- the riffs are slick and dangerous

- the lyrics show the ugly side of the LA scene

it just screams 'fuck you' to the world-and is thus pretty representative of what gnr is, IMO

As was talked about above, "Welcome to the Jungle" basically encompasses the entire history of Guns N' Roses.

It can't be anything but Jungle, even though it's a song I rarely listen to now.

Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

Jungle is really the song that defines them to this day, probably the first thing that springs to most peoples mind when they hear Guns N Roses is Welcome To The Jungle

I have to go with what is on Welcome to the Videos because you get a mental picture as well as the music so WTTJ and SCOM and Patience and Paradise City.

With these 4 songs, you can shut your eyes and the music is universal regardless of who is on stage playing in the band peace
