Richard Fortus, the phenomenon

« on: June 25, 2006, 10:14:20 AM »

I just want to say to our American friends who still can't see the band in their country that the band is doing great in Europe and the shows are great. Don't worry, it's much better than in 2002. Yes it's still not perfect, yeah sometimes the long solos and jams are a little bit boring and could be shorter, but when they play the songs it's phenomenal. I swear I don't lie and I swear i'm not a "blind fan", I'm sincere and honnest, I saw the band in Paris and I can tell you that when they actually play all together, they sound great!

So for all the Americans on this board, when the band tours the USA, buy your tickets because you will spend a good time. ok

Haha....thats funny. I didn't even think of that while I was reading this! This American saw them as well (along with alot of the rest of us!). Having said that I appriciate this topic from nesquick and I have to say I totally agree.

I saw them on 02 and I thought they had potential. I believe now that the potential is being realized and is blowing people away. I sincerely hope that they get some recogonition for how hard they are all working to carry on this name with what people expect from it.

totally agree..this is leaps and bounds beyond 2002,which i actually liked, but clearly this is better. i think the key here is chemistry-in 2002, it was a bunch of musicians simply standing around playing parts while axl did his thing, whereas now it seems like a band with a high level of energy who interact with each other and own the songs they play. why the chemistry changed is an interesting question ( no BH? just axl being happier? voodoo?) but im glad it did.

so whenever the US dates are announced buy tickets!!! ok

from what you would be led to believe, the band barely even spoke to each other over the last 2 yrs, let alone practiced or recorded, yet the chemistry seems a lot stronger than you would have expected.
