another prediction: there will be a New Year's Eve Show somewhere, my bet is NYC. ok

15 years ago, in Miami, my brother (age 15 at the time) saw GNR for the first time ever on New Years Eve. 9 years later, he saw then New Years Eve at the House Of Blues. If they play new years eve in florida, hes going to take me.. meaning we both saw them at age 15, new years eve.. LOL and it would be his 3rd time seeing GNR, 3rd new years eve show!

that'd be pretty sweet! oh and gnr wsa his first concert, and it will be my first. ?Grin

I was the Dublin gig, A friend of Dizzy went backstage and got my ticket signed for me, I met him backstage later while I was with BBF, so he was traveling with Dizzy and he was not a fake !
He said Original members will play the US tour.... I told him i didn't believe him but he insisted on this and said even Steve Adler will play Huh
Im just sayin what I was told...

what you all think...

One can only hope dude...

I'd say that that was a pretty safe assumption Nick.

Although in my opinion I think that the South American dates will occur early 07, possibly in the spring.

I think GNR will have there hands full with alot of US and Canadian dates this coming Fall/Winter.

I agree that they probably won't be in South America to early 2007...but i still consider that winter...just a matter of semantics i guess.

another prediction: there will be a New Year's Eve Show somewhere, my bet is NYC. ok

that would be so f'ing cool and prob one of the hottest tickets in town.  I would HAVE to be at that show!!!!

I predict that any predictions I make will not happen because I suck at predicting stuff...
But I do hope the others' predictions are right and they do come to South America soon!

I really loved seeing GNR at a small venue/Hammerstein.  But, I'd rather them not hit small venues in the fall.  I'd like to see a kick ass single, CD released,  and crazy fans selling out big venues in minutes

I think GNR will still have trouble headling in USA and I am basing this on 2002 tour cancelation.  I think Clear Channel would only support them if they either co headlined with someone or they opened for someone.

I think that if the album will be out till the US tour then 2 maybe 3 new songs may be in the setlists.

I think, or maybe hope is the better word  hihi, that GnR will play a few dates at smaller venues in LA before Inland Invasion.  It is their hometown after all.  A few dates at the Hollywood HoB or the Henry Fonda Theatre would be nice  smoking

If this can be blended into another thread, please do so

Just wanted to get people's thoughts on what the Fall Leg of the tour will look like.

It seems based off BBF and Richard's responses that the band will be taking a brief hiatus in August before hitting the road again. My guess is that, if the album is coming out in the fall, they will reconvene in September and rehearse some more new tracks and that Inland Invasion will be the official kickoff of the Americas tour---doing US/Canada in the Fall before heading off to South America in the winter.

thoughts?

i completely agree.

They should tour with The Killers in support (their new album hits this fall)!

That actually wouldn't be a bad idea.  Although I don't really like The Killers music, having them open for GnR would bring in a fanbase that might not normally go to see Guns, and those young kids there to see The Killers would be blown away by what they saw  beer
