from his myspace account:

Hey all!

As ya know, I read and answer every email personally, and always enjoy corresponding with each of ya. Been answering hundreds of emails a day, spending 6 hours a day - that's fine, happy to do it. But all the typing is causing numbness and pain in my hands and is starting to affect my ability to play guitar. I've had this problem in the past as some of ya might know, and I need to back off a bit on typing before the damage gets worse. So please, unless it's really important, or doesn't require a long response on my end, please be gentle with the emails and myspace messages Thanks so much

Bumblefoot is a really good bloke i met him after the Paris show last night. He signed my shirt. He wasn't in a hurry to leave either and he made time to talk to his fans.
The show was simply awesome!  Grin

he loves being wanted, i think he also loves being in gnr and that everyone is accepting him into the band so well.  i heard he always liked to keep in contact with his fans when they messaged him but now hes in gnr he must be getting so much more than before.

He should spend more time learning the songs.....he butchered the Nightrain solo in Paris the other night.  The material is probably still new to him and he can shred so maybe over time he'll be able to match Buckethead's solo, but I doubt it.

I wish he'd put a KFC Bucket on his head, a Mike Myers Mask on his face, ?and start practicing his guitar parts. Somebody send him the leaks so he can listen to them and get his guitar parts down. Answering fan mail for six hours a day isn't GN'R type behavior. Ron, try hanging out with Baz and doing some Splenda, or hang out with Axl and pull some hotties. I thought Gn'r was supposed to be a bad ass rock n' roll band, "What's up with the computer and the foot guitar, man?".

Add a mask and a bucket? What else do you want, for him to stop running around and start playing some silly 10 minute solo with toys instead of something the fans can actually enjoy, like Don't Cry?

Also, it is you that hasn't listened to the new songs, not him. He listened to the newest version available, possibly even the final ones, and he's doing a great job.

And speaking of "What's up with the computer", please apply the hint to yourself.

I would like for Axl to fire his touring guitarist(Gilby Clarke 2006), and do whatever it takes to get the guitarist who is actually on the album, back in the band. The guitar playing on the 2002 tour from Bucket is better than the guitar playing on the 2006 tour by Bumble. Bumble answering e-mail for six hours a day doesn't make up for his playing not being as good as Bucket's. I've tried to like Bumble and even listened to some of his solo stuff but it just doesn't do anything for me. I can't imagine Axl making an album with Bumble. ?

I've gotta agree with Mattattack.  Bumblefoot just doesn't do anything for me and can't match Bucket's playing.  I wasn't happy to see a freak like Buckethead in the band in 2002 as it takes away from any credibility of replacing Slash, but the guy could flat shred on the guitar and he did the old songs justice.  Bumblefoot's solos have some sort of electronic sound and are sloppy.  Listen to Nightrain from Paris and then go listen to any of the soundboards from 2002 and you'll see Bucket was much better.

Perhaps another idea is just to get rid of the three guitarist idea and let Fortus handle the tougher solos.  Are three guitarists really necessary?

I agree .  Bumblefoot's playing is not that great  and his stage presense on stage  is weird.  He moves like a tool and makes  funny facial expressions.  Buckethead was even worse,  although is playing was better than Bumblefoot the guy was a total freak that did not fit in GNR.  Atleast Rob Thal is human and can communicate with people  without a stupid puppet.  Bumblefoot is a veru cool guy  but I think he might be a little too nice .  Rock stars are not supposed to be nice  they are supposed to be conceded assholes that think they are gods  and treat their fans like shit . l hihi  Axl needs to toughen him up a little .

Oh my god.  Everybody who says that GN'R just can't please fans was right.  I've seen it all now.  A band member is too nice?   Roll Eyes

And while some people don't like Bumblefoot's playing, others do and appreciate what he brings to GN'R.  It's all a matter of opinion and taste.
