Brian May commented about the show on his official website http://brianmay.com/brian/brianssb/brianssb.html

would of been obviously cool is Mr. May played with them but meh, sounds like it was a great show, and anyone who listens to critics can blow me, i'll listen to Brian, he might know a little better than "journalists"

One suggested improvement might be the start of 'Better'. It sounded a bit 'empty'. Also I think they could make the guitars heavier and louder in the metal bit. He nailed the vocals though, incredible.
I thought this song was absolutely perfect.  For me, it was the best of the new songs.

Oh, and who was the motherfucker from behind who threw beer on block 9?
Hi MandyGNR, I was in Block 9, we had this real asshole behind us.  Himself, 2 friends and his GF were as pissed as was possible (GF passed out thankfully, eventually shut the fuck up!  She kept shouting Fuck off Axl, the guy next to me threatened to deck her).  The prats kept throwing stuff, I got washed down with beer (fuckers could have thrown it at my mouth I was so roasting alive!).  That could be the major dickhead your thinking of.

The beer managed to miss me and I think it was thrown from someone coming down the stairs behind us and leaving the concert early.

Dolphin the start time was 10.39pm on my watch.

Yeah.. It missed us, but it went straight down to the front rows in Block 9.

Just remembered during KOHD when Axl gave the mic to that guy in the audience to sing!

That was cool! the guy sang "knocking on heaven's door, hey, hey hey-hey, yeah!" and Axl had a huge grin on his face after.

looked like he was really enjoying himself!

Does the walker choose the path?

All in all the gig was very enjoyable. But make no mistake. GNR without Slash is like a World Cup football tournament without Brazil.

pathetic.

Actually, it's like a World Cup without the US. There will be a difference, but the football lovers won't really care.

Good shout Mandy! And also good pics! Didnt you say you were in Block 9 on Wednesday? Thats where me and my mate were sat. Which seats were you in? I was looking out for people from HTGTH, what were ya wearing?

F6, seat 39. Two seats away from Mr. Sneeks. And I was wearing a black GnR shirt with the skull at first, but I bought a new one and changed it there. Where were you seating?

Those VIP guests in block 9 were not the brightest  bunch of people Grin They must have thrown themselves into the first seats they found and then had fights over who should be sitting where.

Tell me about it I had to put up with Elle Mcpherson trying to take my seat.... Absolute nightmare Wink

She was very well behaved & undivaish though must admit. Although she left 3/4 of the way through.
