The reason i ask this is because  Izzy has been seen  traveling with Axl  in his limo  and he isn't even a member of the band. I know Izzy is a childhood friend  but I think it would be cool if Axl hung out with the band  outside of a professional level.  I wonder if these people are ever together outside of the studio and the stage.   I know Axl didn't have any contact with the band during the illusions tour   but that was because they were not getting along and couldn't stand each other . I think it would be good for the chemistry of the band  if these guys hung out and did interviews together.  It would eliminate some of that"Hired Guns "  perception that almost everybody has of the band.  What do you guys think of Axl  spending all his time with Izzy and neglecting his band  on a social level .

Axl hung out with Fink after the 15th NY show at the afterparty. I think its a different ball game these days as most of the band have their families travelling with them, its not like the early days! Axl also has his entorage travelling with him, Beta, stylist, manager girlfriend etc.

Well I guess they sometimes hang out and talk about their work, have a drink or two. Those things do happen even if you try to avaoid them. You just can't do it all the time.

I think Axl really tries to keep his work as seperate as possible from his private life. Guess he got hurt a lot in the past.

In Austria Axl (plus Merck and about 12 other people) arrived with a private Plane from Prague
Everybody else (including IZZY) arrived by Tourbus from Prague

Axls Party left straight after the show with his private plane to Paris

Well. Not until the Wii comes out at least.

Anyway, it adds to Axl's mystique if he doesn't travel with the band......

Maybe it's best if the " boss" doesn't travel and get too intimate with the others in a way, because the most intimate you are, the more shit you can expect. Like small problems become huge, etc etc....

Maybe axl can then mediate if that arises, rather than be the source of it.

I'm pretty sure I remember Slash saying that they never really hung out back in the old days either.  Apart from interviews and such they went their own ways.  I mean you know since Axl and Izzy hired Slash and such to join the band as a musician, not their buddy.  Nice try to undercut the new band though.  Some will never learn.

During the Illusion tour the band didn't hang out or travel together at all.

well ron, sebastian, tommy, and dizzy were at the after party I was at in New York. Axl was pouring everyone drinking and giving people hugs and what not. So i'm sure they all hang out together sometimes. Whether they travel together is a different story though.

Axl can  afford to fly first class on a moments notice... whereas the rest of the band probably can't

I read that at one of those party appearances before the hammerstein shows that Axl was hanging out with some bandmates and other folks at one of those clubs....

but usually it seems like he doesnt hang out with them that much on the tour anyway....
