Catcher in the rye wasn't leaked by a german person.

Someone set up a temporary gmal account, germaninzed the email by putting it into a german translator.. then mailed to a few lucky board members here who has their email addresses public on their profiles.

even if that's how it happened, the procedure was much different.
in the catcher demo the sound is different, it's an older demo, and the quality of the sound is not as good as the others.

Cause its so much less strange one of the leaks isn't being played.

My point is that they are playing those songs and not playing other ones for reasons.

why would they leak thier own songs? after years of keeping them locked up.. they arent going to be giving away the album. ?just coz all the leaks came from the same source doesnt mean axl let em out.. ?That seems very unlike him. If he wanted them out there he could just put them up for a download or send them out to the mailing list on a website(if he had one) or a myspace page.. then they could track how many times they were downloaded or played and they could have judged the songs that way.. ?the band didnt leak those songs...

doing this, it would sound like a official thing. just leaking it Axl could see the reaction of the fans, if they like, good, if they don't like, it's just a demo.....

because a tour was about to begin, didn't you notice that everything started with the leaks? and they are NOT definitive versions, so you're not listening to the original tracks that will be on the cd

just setting up a myspace account and posting them there is the same thing and they can track how the song is doing... lots of band put up demos on myspace... u can read the comments and times it was played right there.. ?Thats why the leaks are not an offical thing.

Guns n' Roses isn't a normal band, Axl Rose isn't a normal person. A person who stay years and years locked in your house and suddenly he appear in every party, and at the same time some demos leaks.....
